yea, if you have a 5S or 6S pack laying around that'd do the trick.

just make sure your engine isn't flooded or you might bend something trying to start it.

I will likely get a Dynatron lateer.
For now,I'll put a Deans on the Hobbico and try the 4S.
May be donating it to someone with a 50.lol....
Stupid auto correct always posts some thong I didn't Nintendo.
Do you think you could maybe have got a bad one from the start.

Go ahead CRA-Z......what did you decide against saying?
I was just going to say that I tried to steer you in the direction of the 18V Makita in your other thread, but you didnt pick up on it, so I didnt push it further; its expensive though, so you'd have to be objective about that Torquemaster to really want to go that route. The guy I fly with all the time has one of these with this mod and it is a great and powerful smooth running starter.

The problem he has though, is that it kicks on so abruptly, that the OWB's slip and dont lock alot of the time and he gets frustrated with it.

Put a 6S on a new Torquemaster 180 and smoked it. Sent it back. Got a new replacement put it on a Black&Decker nicad pack and use it for 50's.
Bought a DYNATRON and use it with a 5S pack and crank everything with it, all my 90's fear me.

I don't find the Torquemaster kicking hard on the 18V Makita. If anything is hammering on a heli it's that crazy Align yellow and black starter. Wow! I hate the way that thing kicks.

You cannot know that from 1000 miles away.

Just because I don't reply to you personally every time you post a video or something...that doesn't mean I don't care about something.

It will not even turn my OS105 over
I tried it with my booster pack jumper...No joy.
Tried it with a spare car battery I have in the garage...No joy.
Popped the hood on my Durango and tried with the engine running...No joy.
Stauck my old Align Super Starter in to make sure there wasn't a problem with the helis engine....It struggled but it does indeed spin the engine.
Stuck the Torqmaster back in and .....nothing.
If it don't work for you why would it work for the next person. Am i missing something here. Help me on this one buddy.

How is joking about giving it away or selling it..in the same post that I'm ragging on it...misrepresenting anything or trying to "pass it off" on somebody?

If I did try to sell it...which I'm not...it's none of your business and I would tell people it won't start my OS105.

Like I said...take your trolling elsewhere.

I have had a TM180 since I started flying helis approx 8 yrs ago. I hooked up an 18v Black and Decker battery to it so it could slide in and out of the B&D charger with out disconnecting it. This setup has ran for almost 6 years and will start anything. Never had an issue with it and it's the same battery that was originally put on.

Here is search results for the threads I posted it in with more info.

Amazon search for the battery and charger

Man has this thread has become ugly.

If the starter is not damaged, I'm telling you, 18 volts of Makita on the cheap Torquemaster will spin about anything.
