Zero Dark Thirty
I am NOT going to see this movie based solely on nothing else but the title. I've been in aviation and around military people, both active and retired for close to forty years and I have never ONCE heard that phrase said that way. It has ALWAYS been pronounced "Oh Dark Thirty", not "Zero Dark Thirty". Who the hell says Zero Dark Thirty?!

It's O Dark Thirty damnit!

If they can't get the title right, then how bad is the rest of the movie going to be dicked up?

Geesh!

There, their and they're. It's really that simple.

Indeed. Zero is a number, 'O' is a letter. Big difference. As in, "Report to the CQ desk at Zero-Six".

Oh Really?

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

In the Navy, we said "Oh Dark Thirty", correct or not.

It's pretty good movie. I saw it last weekend. I thought it was going to be a lot of hand cam recording but not at all.

Was in the Army 11 years and heard it pronounced both ways. Definitely not worth making life decisions over. As far as the movie, I am interested in the stealth helicopters...

I myself being a in the Navy, has heard it both ways as well as said it both ways. Either way, I/they, knew what was meant when it was said.
