"A very interesting toy." Not quite, at a 90 size. $4500 better come with spare parts, fuel, some pro lessons and a nice case.AMA# 1078375 |

I love how they show the local crack houses when he states that there are many local hobbyists that would be interested. It kind of looks like the city I live in |

The show was not scripted, at least the helicopter part. The seller was not looking to sell the models at the time the show was filmed. That's the reason for the high asking price.JR |

Good job by him. I have flown with him at Funflys. Nice job getting a little highlight on the hobby.Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages. |

That's all fine but seems to just reinforce that it is scripted or staged. You weren't there to pawn an rc helicopter. I'm not saying they use professional actors. They normally use walk-ins or customers and just have them ham it up. |

Bladestrikes... Lets hear how showing a model helicopter on a nationally televised station can be bad? Also understand that the show was filmed years ago; yes the helicopters may have even been a little older then. But like I said before, this was only to try to get publicity to are hobby. I don't respect you for ripping on it.JR |

Other than the price, the guy made him look like a lier after he said "many pilots in the area" .They didn't ever talk about the hobby.Yeah, not a way to get publicity..
Doing it at Freedom Hill with other pilots flying, talking about the hobby would of been MUCH better with a REAL price other than making a joke out of it..How many people watching that show jumped and ran out the door to blow 5 grand?I bet little to none..I don't respect you for ripping on it. Just my opinion on what I see... |

I have to say that bladestrikes has a good point, at the prices that guy quoted, I can't think of anybody who would want to run and jump into that pool feet first. It's negative publicity in that the show edited it to make him look like a liar, which discredits him, and in the eyes of the general public the hobby in general. |

I agree with jrflyer. It is nice to see anyone try to get publicity toward are hobby. Obviously they didn't try to make it negative. And by showing a clip of a model helicopter flying; maybe it got people interested. |

I suppose, it's not so much bad publicity for the hobby, but moreso for the pawnbroker, either way, not a fan of that show really. |
