Unmatched cyclic servos?
There is something wrong with one of my Airtronics 94758 cyclic servo's,
It gears seem to slip and it moves unevenly when installed in my heli, despite the gears being fine when inspected, and it working fine on the bench.

I don't have the time or money to replace all three servo's right now, so I'm trying to work out if it is possible to replace just the one (elevator) servo.

The closest match from my local hobby shop is a Savox 1258tg
http://www.servodatabase.com/compare?servos=53,1554

Is this a sane thing to try?

Helicopter is a trex 600n.

It seems alright not in the heli, but connected to the elevator output of the beastx.

I think I might not be testing it with enough torque.

switch the channels in the beast and see if the same servo acts up on a different channel

At this point, I just can't trust that servo.

I really am more interested in the question - what happens if I use unmatched ccpm servos?

Unmatched movement, different center points, one servo will move more/less/faster/slower than the others, thats if it'll even work at all, at least that's my understanding of it.

Having different cyclic servos is jut a bad idea. You will have all kinds of interactions. For example, a slower servo will over work the other two. This is because the gyro will see the roll that it is getting and work to correct it. But now the gyro is correcting that issue and not able to look for others that may be going on.

If at all possible you should keep the same brand and type of all of the cyclic servos.

While I understand the annoyance of replacing the one servo, I think it it highly ill advised to mismatch servos and force the controller to deal with the inevitable interactions.
