130x Tail spins out on spool up help
My friend has a 130x, when ever we try to spool it up the tail just spins uncontrolabbly. Nose left. It is as if the correction direction for the tail gyro is wrong... is that possible on this thing?

Strange thing is it flew fine, landed, put it away and the next time out this happened, so we are leaning towards a problem with the board.

The entire tail assembly including the servo has been replaced, actually completely upgraded with alloy and a normal type servo.
We have created an entirely new model as per the manual in the radio (Dx7) and re bound. Everything is 90'd and straight.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

If all your settings are correct in the TX, Hold the main gear with your finger and try to turn the tail blades. If it turns you probably have a bad gear.Bill Whittaker

Hey
Assuming its not a stripped gear I would say the tail blades need to be centered by moving the tail servo forward or back on the boom.

I know none of the gears are stripped. Spinning on a shaft maybe?Airtronics SD10G, SK540, Novarossi .57 3DS, Synergy N5c in the works

Yes usually the gear teeth are fine but what happens it is spinning on the shaft. Usually in my case it is the C gear.Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

What is centered on this thing, cause if I center the slider on the tail shaft there is way too much pitch in the blades. Or at least I think so. My experience is in setting up a 600 size heli, perhaps I am missing something here.Airtronics SD10G, SK540, Novarossi .57 3DS, Synergy N5c in the works

There is a video from Horizon on this in assembling the tail vid.
With the tail servo centered the tail blades have zero pitch. This is counter intuitive as most bigger heli's have some pitch in the tail.
The arm is 90 degrees to the arm on the tail case. When setup like a bigger heli with pitch when the servo is centered my 130x gets wag.
Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

Hey
I have never stripped the teeth on the gears its always the center hole that has a flat spot that strips. Sometimes you can crash and the gear will spin on the TT or tail shaft and then catch. You take off and all seems good then at any moment the gear can spin again causing the tail to blow out.
