The first photograph is of an American R/C, late model Mantis (plastic frames)-the early ones had wooden frames.

The second photograph is of a Revolution (these always had metal frames).

The Revolution was a much better machine, IMNO, than the Mantis.

This was not the same company as the current American R/C.

1st Picture - Is a American Mantis with Plastic Frames

2nd Picture - If it was a 40 size Model it was the Revolution, If it is a 60 size model it is the Commander.

Hello Mr. Zankl!

The .60 sized version of the Revolution, was called the Revolution II. It was fixed pitch, had metal frames, and came in red, blue, or green anodizing.

The version of the Revolution II with the copy of the Heliboy head was the Commander (I have both).

There was also a version of the Commander with the "Rigid Rotor" head. It was truly rigid with no damping at all.

The model in the second photograph, appears to be the original .40 sized Revolution, with the .60 sized landing gear (which people did, at the time).

Good to see you on here, sir!
