New set of nerves, the last set where severely damaged after several significantly emotional events. If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

I bought three sets of two crash kits with my original 600N since I intended to auto all the time. Still have three sets of two. Best $100 I ever spent.

Starting at the beginning of my heli flying days ten year ago... Changing from analog to digital servos on my very first heli, a JR Venture 30. Wow, what a huge difference that made.
Interesting, I went digital on the 450 and didn't notice any difference other than they cost more.

He probably means that he went from crap servos to good servos. I still have an XCell with 9202 analog servos which are quite good if very slow by today's thinking. Or he may mean that he went from slow to fast servos.

I bought the Venture 30 with JR 537 servos on the swash. Flew it that way for quite a few tanks and then changed to Hitec HS-5475HB servos. No other changes at the time and redid setup to get the same collective and cyclic pitches.

The change in how the heli behaved and responded was drastic. With the analog servos it felt "squishy" and trim didn't hold very well. But with the 5475s it was locked in and responded much more crisply even though the servos were about the same speed. Trim also held perfectly.

That was 10 years ago. Hitec HS-5475HB servos are certainly nothing compared to today's servos. But, at the time they were decent and fairly inexpensive at $36.

I forgot about another upgrade that made a huge difference for me. When I upgraded to my JR 9303 from my DX6I. It made programming so much easier and the feel compared to a cheap radio was fantastic.Trex 700E / Trex 500 ESP - Ikon/ HD 500 - Ikon 2/ Goblin 500 Ikon 2

It appears that my most recent addition of the Ikon is making a huge difference for me. It is inspiring so much confidence because it is helping making the heli fly so awesome.Trex 700E / Trex 500 ESP - Ikon/ HD 500 - Ikon 2/ Goblin 500 Ikon 2

Ide say BeastX but my flybarred helis flew so well anyway.

Ill go for the MKS DS95i tail servo on my 450! Even with an Align gyro the tail was so locked in and consistant! Now fitted with a BeastX I can't imaging a better 450 tail!

guess im old school. i think the biggest difference ever was the gyro.. especially head holding. yes fbl systems are all the rage but, they are a gyro.. until then having to mix channels if you were lucky enough to have a computer radio, or mechanical mixing which was a nightmare.. the gyro made youer a$$ relax.. and say WOW!! I CAN fly this thing!JR NEX E8, 12 cell

I never could get my 450 dialed in when it was flybared so I converted to flybarless. I used the AR7200BX and it would do fine until I made a hard stop with the cycles that caused the heli to shake. I turned one of the pods down which made my stops too soft. I couldn't get it dialed in. I took a chance and put on the mini vbar. Lets just say now my favorite heli is the 450. What a big difference.

Yea, like any system, it is all about getting it dialed in.
