Added a new heli to the fleet
I came across a 450 sport frame in the case that I bought for my 450 pro. So I decided to make it a scale bird. So now I have my 450 pro, 450 scale and my 600E.

Nice fuselage. If you want to get creative, find some 6mm brake line at your local auto store, a cheap tubing bender from Harbor Freight, and make some nice scale-looking gear...

Below are before and after pics of my 450 sized UH-1D.

After bending, the tubing was soldered using StayBrite silver bearing solder.

I have been debating on how scale I want to get with it. I was originally going to go for the real scale and put the tail blades on the correct side and switch the rotor direction. If I was to do this over again, I would have done this with a 450 pro with the torque tube. I am not looking fwd to having to adjust or change the belt. I did find some pics on the net of the outside looking in. So I matched it with the heli and taped it inside. Not perfect, but looks better than looking at wires and frame.Trex 700E / Trex 500 ESP - Ikon/ HD 500 - Ikon 2/ Goblin 500 Ikon 2

Thanks. If you look at the front cockpit, it kind of looks like the inside is detailed. I sort of cheated and found a front view and a side cockpit view on the internet. I then matched the size of the pics and printed them. I then taped the shots to the inside. I figured it looks better than seeing a battery and wires. As far as flying it, it flies great and I was quite shocked on how well it does.Trex 700E / Trex 500 ESP - Ikon/ HD 500 - Ikon 2/ Goblin 500 Ikon 2
