3g should I upgrade.
need some advice. I currently have a trex 600 esp and 500 esp both are on 3g. I am a sport pilot just trying to master the basic, and I havn't gone into any of the computer functions of the 3g they are both setup with out computer adjustments.

My question is would I really notice a diffrence by switching to a newer flybarless system or should I just stick with the 3g till my skills improve? Mainly I am wondering for my inverted hovering stability doesn't seem as stable as right side up hover. And wondering if it's the 3g or just me and lack of practice.

I have a 3G, a 3GX, V-bar, a CopterX and BeastX. They all fly good once they are sorted out and tuned to my liking. MY 3G is one of the originals that came in the 700N 3G combos. I have considered swapping it out for a different one but it flies nice as is with the exception of a little tail wiggle.

do you actually notice much of a deifrence between the systems or are they pretty much the same. Like I said not doing anything crazy just wondering if I would be able to actually notice a diffrence and be able to speed my learning process up.

I think every heli feels different so I can't really say it is the controller that makes the difference. My current favorite is my 600EFL. it is smooth and fast and crisp and just feels right to me. It has the 3GX on it. I have the BeastX on an old 600N that I am having some vibration issues with but what little I have flown it, I think it will be another favorite!
At times when working orientations I am not comfortable with, all my helis tend to feel a little less stable so you may be feeling some of the same thing.

like basmntdweller, I have an original 3G that came in a 600LE kit. I still fly it, and I like the way that it flys. It's solid.

I fly my 3G inverted and it's sweat, so I'm going with your skill set. Try flying inverted with a flybar, if you feel you need more work.

A "different" FBL will NOT make you a better pilot.

I have flow three different systems and they all feel and fly different.

Unless you have $$ burning a hole in your pocket for a new FBL unit....
