I don't recall seeing that on mine. I see storage and charge and discharge and sync

It's a new mode in the latest firmware which aimed for non hobby use really, when you have big packs and want max charged % in shortest time but do not care if it's that close to 100%.

For us it's best to use TCS which now also allow 1% resolution between 95 -> 100

Set to 97% and your getting a good charge time vs full rate

Thanks Mr. Mel. I did not realize there was an updated firmware. Do you recommend that we all update our chargers? I will take your advice on adjusting the TCS to 97 percent

You can wait a week or so, there is a service firmware coming out soon with some smaller fixes to the one that is out now (it will be 5.84 I think)

I run mine at 97% because I stand often and waiting for the charger to complete and want to go fly at that moment

There is some known issues, it works but takes longer time on small packs and storage charge.

No danger to run it.

I've got a question to add here. I just got the super duo and it's my first lipo charger. i have a basic understanding of how i THINK a balance charge is supposed to work and i know there's a difference between a balance charge and a quick charge.

so my question is on the super duo, what's the difference in the solo charge mode (with balance connector attached) and "balance" mode?

I did solo charge on a brand new 2S LIFE pack and it got the cells to within .001v (it was already charged basically). then i tried the balance mode and it started alternating the cells up and down up to .016 difference and went for about 20 minutes before i stopped it cuz i had no idea what it was doing.

what's going on here?

With regard to the new TCS feature, setting it to 97 percent, do you send TCS end action to continue or to stop?

Up to you

Continue and it's just a "beep - ready" and it will charge to 100%
Stop and it will stop the charge.

I use it to get faster to the field, but if I have no time-hurry it's not a problem to let it run.
