I've tried searching on the internet and haven't found too much on ESC's for the Mini Protos other than to use a 60 amp one.

So, would I be OK using a 50 amp ESC on the Mini Protos going with a 4S set up and the 350mm stretch?

Yes even a 40 amp ESC would be fine. If money isn't a concern ide go for a Kontronik Koby 40 which will go upto 6s and the BEC will go upto 8v output for HV servos.

Next down would be a YGE 40 which also goes to 6s.

60% of the time, it works every time!
