I love mine. Been running it on 15% lately and it still has plenty of power.

Bought two last year when they came out, but have been busy at work and not been able to put in my twin N5c builds. Can't wait. Hope they are as easy to tune like my 3 YS50s.

Follow the manual mine were spot on , slowly click in on med an high .

Once set there's no messing , leave it slightly rich as it has so much torque power is not an issue

I put one in my Vibe 50 recently. Just hoping for some decent weather to break it in.

I'm running Tower Power plugs that are supposed to be the equivalent of an OS8. Byron's Rotor Rage 15%. I'll probably switch back to 30% in the summer. I run 30% in my YS56 and the YS60 still feels like it has more power on 15% than the 56 has on 30%.

Ok
So the the best bet is to run an os 8
Or an enya 5 . Was going to run 20% but everyone seems to be liking 30%. How the tuning and the temp on 30%?

Problems getting the YS-60sr going
Hi RyanW

I've just installed a brand new YS-60SR in my Align Trex 600N. I've been having problems getting this engine broken in because I'm still on my first tank and only burned 2/3 tank over 3 days of getting the engine started and hovering the heli. It's running extremely rich b/c I see fuel dripping from the muffler. My initial settings are: Idle screw 90 degrees, hover needle 2 turns out, and high-speed needle 1.5 turn out.
Today, while hovering; I tried to pull up to go higher and then I started to lose power. I heard a pop sound and then the engine shut off. I hope I didn't blow a piston. I am using the OS#8 glow plug, if that matters.

Any ideas?

Piston was blown. Sent the engine to YS for repair/replacement.
