Just put together my Trex 550 and noticed that when I turn the head by hand it isn't nearly as smooth as my
Trex 500. Both with torque tubes and tail assemblies in place.
Once I add the tail assembly and tighten it up on boom, it just seems like there is much more resistance when I spin the head by hand.
Tail assembly is smooth as silk when spun by hand and when it isn't mounted on boom. Spinning the head without tail assembly on heli and with the torque tube in place also very smooth.
Also, torque tube is spinning true in boom without the tail assembly in place.
It seems just when I add the tail assembly on boom and tighten it all up, I notice the resistance.
The tail gears have not moved either, to cause any binding or resistance.
It's just not as smooth as the 500....
What gives??...is this normal for the 550 due to larger surface area and or larger size parts?
Or once I get it airborne a few times it will loosen up....any input would be appreciated!
You can only fly one at a time...But build more then one at a time!
