I just watched Nick Maxwell's "one tank tips" video on piro flips. He breaks it down into 4 moves and tells how to do it along with his own tips. If you haven't seen it it is worth watching.

if it has not already been said, try turning your simulation speed down to 25% then as you get better up it more and more.. I learned piro flips in about a week this way... otherwise I was lost...

I found the simulation settings and lowered to %50 which is helping. Thx for pointing it out. The only worry I have is that I do not want to get used to using this setting. If it helps I will try just about anything

It's mostly getting ur mind right were You stop thinking about what u need to do. just like when u were learning to fly. Just slowing it down helps learn directions. You'll learn to adjust ur speed in ur head automatically later. If that makes any since.

You can use a different aproach if you are comfortable with all flying directions.
Fly slowly forward, pull back the heli slowly while applying rudder until you are 90 degree rudder and vertical.
Steer slowly continuing til inverted and 180 rudder.
Thismway you have the half flip out of the forward movement without loosing heigt to train the collective.
Now go into the same from inverted forward to normal forward with a 180 rudder again.
Repeat this continouse and start to slow down the path until you are stationary or even go backwards.
this way it comes naturally on the collective and you learn steering the whole thing, not practizing a trick.
It also helps learning it that way, because you learn moving around with the piroflip also.
