RE that signal wire question into SBus2. The deal here is that if you plug anything into that slot for a second power input, make sure there is no power flowing over the signal wire. That should be a rare occurrence, but take note nonetheless.

RE the Tellme question, you might try deregistering and then reregistering the sensor in the transmitter and then see if it will recognize it.

Chris.C pid=6705676 However, the sbus2 seems does not work with my Telme Futaba. It does not show anything on my TX. [/quote

Did you try linking in 18ch Fasstest mode?

Thanks Gents.

I had done de-registering the telme sensor by "Reload" in my Tx. After Reload, the sensor is gone in my Tx. Then I "Register" it again. After register it, the Telme sensor re-appears again in my Tx but there is no data from the 760 after power up. Apart from the SBus2, everything else seems work like normal.

After this, I reconnected the Telme sensor to the R7008SB receiver that I previously used before the 760R came. Everything works normal, i.e. I can read Esc/BEC temperatures and other telemetry data from the Telme. This led me to think that the Sbus2 is not working in the 760R.

Yes, my Tx was set to 18 channel Fasst and with Telemetry activated.

Outstanding! Is that an introductory price or does that reflect what we can expect post Hobbico?

To my knowledge, that's the price it's going to be ongoing. Futaba USA is well aware of the competitive marketplace. They're going to do everything possible to keep pricing of products extremely competitive.

Futaba CGY 760R I noticed interesting thing that is happening with tail rotor servo, after about a minute of flying tail is beginning to drift to the right. In fast forward flight hard to notice, in hover very noticeable. I also attempted to trigger tail rotor drift on the bench with out flying, all I did to trigger tail drift was a gentle tapping on the tail boom. When it is started it will not stop at all, until I turn it off. Tail rotor drift is more noticeable when under RUD.BASIC work mode set to CMT, less noticeable under work mode set to AVSC but still noticeable. I wonder if new software will fix this described condition. I never experienced what I described with CGY750.

Is your helicopter completely still when you power up and while the gyro initializes? Is it always the same direction? What is your gain?

Helicopter is completely still when I turn it on, servo is drifting to one side only, gain I tried so far between 50 – 120. I am working on it so far 39 flights.

- What transmitter are you using?
- Have you tried adjusting the dead band setting in the gyro?
- Is there a chance you've bumped the rudder trim?
- If you give the rudder one click of trim, does the drift stop?
- You're certain the gyro is mounted level?
- Have you experimented with different mounting tape? Does a different tape or two layers of the same tape make any difference?

Sorry for the 100 questions. I'm just thinking out-loud.

Three different transmitters 18MZ, 18SZ, 16SZ
Dead band tried from 4 to 7
Trims are disabled on Ail, Ele, Rud it is not possible to move them by mistake
I am positive gyro is mounted level
I never experimented with a different mounting tape, I think it will not make any difference. If heli is sitting on the workbench with gyro turned on and transmitter turned on, without touching transmitter and helicopter not generating any servos movement after about 4 min tail servo starts very slow drift.
Thank you for your questions.

Today I tried to stop tail drift to the right with trim, after four clicks it will reverse to the left but will not stop. Moving trim one click back will reverse drift again to the right.

Did you try switching from AVCS to Normal(Rate) Mode three times with an assigned switch to memorize the neutral position?

Yes I did try switching from AVCS to Normal(Rate) to memorize neutral position, it will not stop tail drift. I am beginning to think that I need to park this heli for a while and wait for new software.

Could it just be a bad unit that needs to be returned? Should it be sent back for warranty return or service. When I was having problems I couldn't figure out I sent mine (750) in. It failed a "drift test" and they sent back a different unit.
