Set up is via program box or transmitter with program box until full integration occurs in the near future. No pc or Android interface.

Transmitter integration and telemetry require TFHSS or FASSTest, so the receiver cannot use the FAAST protocol. There is zero intent to sell more transmitters by leveraging gyro design. You cannot evolve technology but so far and still maintain ties to older design. Transmitter compatability for FASSTest for the 760 extends back 5 years and includes the 14SG.

So I guess time will tell if they will make one without a receiver in it..
It's not just older Futaba Radios as other brand radios

This is the same thing as V bar did... But wise enough to make one without a receiver

Don't get me wrong I love my Futaba stuff

Lets do the time warp againnn !

The report posted by RC Japan that the 750 had been discontinued by Futaba conflicts with what I was told by the factory liason. Keeping the 750 in production would maintain a gyro option for older transmitters, etc.

I'll get that answer nailed down for certain.

Not sure about your point Dr. Ben, Mikado's VBar Neo non-vlink functions with a Fasst receiver and older 2.4 Futaba radios.

Understood. If you don't need the telemetry option, but want the benefits of the CGY760 as a FBL unit, like the Neo non-Vlink, the CGY760 is not a choice unless you upgrade your radio. Is that correct?

This should explain it as they talked about it in about in 18MZ new radio...
If they don't do something to fix it we will be left in the cold and other brands as well

Was there any talk of putting the updated 760 hardware in a 750 type box? A less expensive version without the RX integration or remote programing. Save some money and use your current RX and the 750 style display and buttons. To only sell FBLs for the newer futaba radios eliminates the older (7C) radio and spectrum user markets.
I am pretty sure Mikado still sells the Vbar as well as the newer neo. Why can't futaba make a "755" as well as the 760?

RCJapan just advertised the new CGY760R w/programing box at U$470.00
If I dont have a receiver then I can justify that much.
But if I already have a receiver then I will not spend that much.
With so many cheaper gyros on the market I think this new gyro is out of equation for most guys unless it is less than U$470 when released.
I cheaper version with no receiver will be needed for every one.

yes I get it ..but you will need a 16sz or 18sz or 18mz for it to work.

now if you have that cool.... if you don't have one that be 699.00 more.

in case you go one of FHSS radio it will be less

the 760 still SB2... and you are still screwed

Dr Ben Thank you for clarifying few things for me, just which they where clear that it was a 6-axis gyro. At leat typically 3-axis + 3 accelerometers are call 6 axis. Also what is odd GY460 is call a 6-axis Now $380 does justify the cost. If you take a V-bar neo with rescue:
Neo (non vlink $200 + $90 rescue + $99 receive) (now if you want the ring sensor add another $80). I back to happy feet.

Dr Ben,
you mention sensor is new, I'm assuming it has built in ring like 750 did for high vibration)
The gyro has the hardware inside to do rescue/bailout. The intitial release will not have that functionality but it is planned for later on and will not come with an upcharge.

The sensors are new and faster. Accelerometers have been added as well. The gyro is not a 750 in a new case with a receiver stuck to it.

The display on the program box looks very similar to the 14SG display. What would be the hardware limitation that prevents an update to allow the 14SG to do the programing without the program box. If the hardware allows the transmission of the setup config why can't those setup menus be on the 14SG?

Ok, manual looks very nice. But I have some questions
1) Bail-out for autorotation using e-govenor? Did not see any setting for it.
2) FLT tune data reset. Is this any auto trim feature? Trim Flight?

3) Does it support ESC data pass-thru for telementry ?

Very interesting that you can mount hard mount the gyro with any tape, but just screws.
