Predator Gasser NX v2.0 Problem
so i have got 4 or 5 flights on this bird now. had it for about 3 years, and life has just gotten in the way of finishing it.

anyways, almost every flight i have broken pieces on the head. nothing major, but 3 times the washout linkage has been damaged. so i looked through the manual to ensure i did not install it upside down or backwards, and it is installed per the manual.

but taking it a step further, i checked out my 90 size glow predator, and sure enough, it is installed the opposite way. i checked the manual for the glow predator, the originial gasser, the nx version i have and the new radikal gasser. all EXCEPT the nx i have have the radius arm facing forward when looking at the left side of the heli. the nx manual shows it facing aft.

all three of these helis share the same head design. so why the difference???

The only difference with the NX head should be beefed up grips and hub, all else is the same.

I can post pictures of my current head configuration, though I have converted it to an all metal head, but its all the same setup.

I have a feeling the difference you are seeing may be an assembly error by someone. I have noticed some pictures of heads on the century site even have missing links.

FYI, the G30 and G20HD use the predator head

thats what i thought too, an error in the NX manual.

now if i could get a tech from century to call me back, i could confirm it. called them friday and left a message and same story today. still not call back.

yours is the same as mine.

finally got a call back from century. they said it doens't matter which was the washout link are installed, they both work fine.

he thinks i just had a bad radius pin. so will be installing new ones.

yeah, one big one is dont shove the cyclic stick into the corner while flying.

But you may not even need do have binding. from my experience, you can pop links off just based on the setup itself. Can you post a picture of your configuration?

what you could do is power up the electronics on the bench (engine off of course) hold the cyclic to the extreams and turn the rotor by hand and watch whats going on. i had something similar on my first nitro when i replaced broken links and arms from a crash i accidentally screwed one of the ball links in different holes and it was causing all kinds of weird behavior. good luckR I P Roman Jr. Team SRW EFC
