If you have done a conversion from a 450-3D to a 450X I could use some help.

I purchased the complete rotor head conversion BLH4399 and the AR7200BX and installed all. I pre-setup the AR7200 as per the 450x manual. Doing physical setup menu I could not get through Step J with the long balls supplied for the upper swash plate pitch links. I took too short balls off of the original plastic swash and was able to get 5.7 degrees using those on the pitch links which was enough to light the blue light.

My problem with these shorter balls is that when at full negative the swash looks pretty tight against the swash driver links. I have adjusted the cyclic range of the servos so they don't bind (Step L), but it still looks pretty easy to pop a pitch link doing something crazy at full negative. The swash looks very crowded up against the main rotor hub at full negative.

Any tips on this setup will be appreciated. Such as what is the length center to center of your collective pitch links? How did you get 6 degrees for setup step J?

I was able to test hover it yesterday and it was very stable. Quite a change from the flybar setup. The 450 had no issues with a nice steady runup on the ground before lift off, and a nice slow descent back down. I am using 3M 4011 tape with two layers under the AR7200BX.

How long are your pitch rods center to center?

I'm about to do a similar conversion with a Microbeast rather than the AR7200BX.

Did you upgrade the motor when you did your conversion, or just the pinion...or leave it stock?

I am using the stock motor and pinion. I have hovered but not flown around so I really can't say if its ok.
