Yes a 2s 450 sport.
I got curious what a 450 sport would do with a 2s battery so I pulled it from my 700n reciever packs and just went for it. It flew with a little bit of pop to it and a very noticeable slow head speed.
The reason I did this was really to mess around. I know it sounds stupid but a few guys at my field have converted to 6s setups. I saw the flight performance and length and it was all the same. Actually the heli's seemed a bit heavy.
So they tried to convience me and no go I won't bother adding cells to a perfectly agile Heli.
So I decided to mess around and shove the 2s and have it a quick hover at night.
In the morning I went to fly and didn't say anything of what I did to my Heli.
Everyone quickly noticed that my Headspeed was very slow. Somewhere around 2000rpms.
But they couldn't figure out why I was still doing hurricanes, loops, funnels and tic tics in any direction and still flying after 4:30 on the timer.
I gave them the Heli with the canopy on. Powered off but the battery still in there . They all thought it was heavy. Then I proceeded to say the battery is still there. I asked what was the difference and it took them 30 guesses to finally get it right. A 2s battery. Then they all realizes the packs where inside and that's why it had weight to it. Dry weight my Heli is around 550grams.
So why did I post this in the beginners, well a lot of people try to get this crazy fast Heli because ultimately that's what they want fly.
Well this 450 on a 2s setup flies so well. It teaches you collective management. Is NOT intimidating at all. You can do more flips and rolls figure 8 and all easily because it doesn't want to take off in any direction that easily.
I have been flying it all day at OHB with no issues at all. Except for last flight when I have the controls to someone they crashed it before taking off. Slight oops. The damage was minimal considering the Heli did a chicken dance and he didn't hit the hold. I pulled the remote and hit hold.
The 2s battery I am flying is a thunder power 2s 2250mah 45c.
Motor is stock mx motor and align stock esc. Ikon flybarless controller.
So if your looking for something different to learn on. You may already have it.
Try this at your own risk please. Let it spool completely before lifting the Heli.
By the way It autos better now.
