Hello,

Tomorrow I will pick up my Turbulence D3 with following setup:

Hirobo Turbulence D3
Yamada 91SRX-RR Tareq
Hatori 2123
3x Savox SC-1257 TG (swash)
1x Savox SH-1290 MG (tail)
1x Savox SH-1290 MG (engine)
Futaba GY 520 / or GY611 (both at home)
Helitron VS-5P BEC

This will be my very first "all new" helicopter for me to build for myself, the helis I got before where all used ones

I plan to make a time lapse video of the whole build and also make a short report with some pictures.

I hope you will enjoy it as much as I will do

Best regards
Dennis

RR is Back!

I finished my D3 last Week, the first flight was on the 25. Dez, it's running very well!

Today I finished the break in, the SRX is still running very rich but has a lot of power!! I don't miss any electric helicopter with this engine!

I will take a video in the next days!

Nice video, Dennis.

I'm curious. Did you pre-degrease the hardware outside the video and prior to loctite? In the blur I didn't see a rag with solvent being picked up, but I could have easily missed it.

degreasing hardware
Dennis - you look to be a very organised builder! Very impressive video.

Do you guys degrease hardware (I take it we are referring to the fasteners only?) as you need it - one fastener at a time or do you immerse lots of fasteners in jar filled with alcohol?

Just wondering as i am also building a turbulence.

thanks.

you can de-grease either way
all of them or one at a time
the other option is one build section at a time

the one thing i do know is you'll love the turbulence even more once it's flying

Ah it's the D3 V1, you got me excited there for a second. So who has built a D3 V2 yet? Anybody? Can we see some pics?

Which engine are you going for, the OS 105 HZ? The higher engine position is a good improvement.

Please post some pics when you are done with the build. I have started saving for mine

I'm using a 91, the model only weighs 9.5 pounds with blades.

wonderful flight. the engine sounds really powerful. thanks for the time lapse vid. I am contemplating a D3 myself but the opportunity cost is pretty overwhelming.
