Hi Guys,

I had a major crash of my Logo600 yesterday. One arm on the swash broke. First time I can confidently say it was a real mechanical failure that caused a crash. All other times it's always been a stupid pilot trick.

It was very bad and I need a new frame set. As is often the case, ReadyHeli.com is out of them so I'm sort of stuck. I have a used set on hand already but I don't want to rebuild with a used set. If I'm going to go through all the trouble of a complete ground up rebuild I don't want to mess with a used set.

So, I'm looking for a new set of frames that I can buy or borrow and replace with same from someone in the San Jose/San Francisco area so I can rebuild this thing in the next few days. I'm willing to pay the readyheli price plus tax, shipping, and 20% premium for your trouble if you have some I can just pick up locally and be on my way. Or, if you live real close I could just replace them when I get the ones I've ordered in. However you want to do it but either way it would be a big help to me. I live in Pleasanton.

Just an FYI, our Mikado order placed before Black Friday (11-20-12) just dispatched Germany on Tuesday this week. It has all spare parts and kits replacements included. This is expected to be delivered in Florida Monday morning.

Unfortunately not. Knowing that often when you are out of stock on some Mikado items it can sometimes take a very long time before you get them back in stock I ordered the right frame from you and the left frame from Velocity Hobby who seems to have a small number of very overpriced Mikado parts. Apparently they buy them at retail and then mark them up but at least they have some when one is in a bind.

Appreciate the note but it would be really great if you guys would keep a little deeper stock on the Mikado stuff. Since you are the ONLY authorized Mikado dealer in the US you should almost never be out of anything that Mikado isn't out of stock on but I frequently find things that are available via Mikado.de that go for weeks out of stock here. I think some of the new SX parts where in stock for a couple of nano-seconds when you put them on your system.

You guys are one of the better shops for sure and I thank you for your better than average service and I'm sure you treat the Mikado parts inventory control the same as Align (which is better than most) so this is really a Mikado problem not a ReadyHeli problem. There are hundreds of shops stocking Align parts and you can nearly always find someone who has the part you need however Mikado does their business a disservice by having only one US stocking dealer.

Anyhow, it's only a hobby (for me) so I'm not up in arms or upset or anything like that. It's an inconvenience though and forces me to keep a lot of spare parts on hand for my Logo's that I don't keep for my other heli's. I mean who keeps spare frames for Align helis? - not me but I normally do for my Logos.

All valid points.

Your thoughts are correct. The stock is not a US problem.

Mikado are producing goods much smaller than other manufacturers with a lot of corporate backing. Family owned and operated for 25 years. They cannot produce the same number of goods as our corporate counterparts can. Mikado bag and tag, with their small staff, in house in Potsdam, in a very very small facility. They not only work in this facility, but live above it!

It takes Mikado anywhere from 5-7 days to compile our orders and ship them. So you may see them in stock on Mikado's website, however, in that time, our orders could have been placed 2 weeks prior, awaiting them to pack everything, then the 5 day freight from Germany + US customs (who love holding goods for a week).

We have had many talks with Mikado over the years to allow for ReadyHeli.com to allow dealer sales. This cannot happen, as they cannot supply their 1 exclusive retailer enough stock (us), let alone additional partners.

Mikado have a new facility being built, which should be done in the summer of 2013. At that time, storage will no longer be an issue, thus, more parts production and distribution. We look forward to this day, as if we could have 50 of every part on hand at all times, it would happen.

R/H, that is absolutely great to hear about Mikado and the bigger
facility. When I got my first Logo ('03), many places were selling
the kits/parts. But over the next few years, when Mikado seemed to
become 'discovered', especially w. the Logo500/600 series, and what
you just mentioned about their tiny manufact. site, it is easier to
understand why all the dealers had to go away. Just stretched waaay
too thin.

Ron was your used frames cracked or split, or otherwise defective?
