I did leave a feedback and wrote a short story about what happened.
YSRider, I like what you wrote, about the scammers on RR.
Didn't see this crap a few years back.
RR was a safe site to do buys ,sells and trades.

Here's details on Rockin Bird.

***BEWARE OF THIS GUY***

Rockin Bird AKA Roch Landaiche 7330 Bayou Paul Rd. Saint Gabriel,Louisiana 70776.

I feel for you my man, no one deserves to get ripped off ever. But to an extent you have to take some of the blame on your own shoulders for being so damn naive to trade for an item you had not even seen to verify if it was indeed what was advertized. With that said, had pics been posted for all to see prior to you trading, and what you received was no what was represented in the pics, then you would have a case. If the Op did not post what the condition of the heli was in and you assumed it was in great shape then its on you to make certain it is what it is! Again as I stated, cell phones take photos, there is no excuse on both ends of this .

I spoke with Roch on the phone and he described the heli
1, as a Raptor 30,
2, "in really nice shape".
He said that he was having trouble posting pictures to Runryder.
I checked his prior posts and feedback, and didn't see anything troublesome.

As a side note,I did get another Runryder member telling me he had an engine for sale, a couple of days ago.
I told him that he needs to post pictures in his gallery.
I said I won't buy without pictures.
He said, he has done lots of deals on Runryder, without pictures, and he seemed very indignant, that I would not buy without seeing pictures of the engine. So, it seems that this is Modus Operandi for scammers now. When a RR member says he cannot post pictures, then it's BS.

Concerning the 90, I made a mistake, I accept that.
The pictures I took of the 90 before I sent it, all have GPS coordinates and time and date stamps on them.
It cost me $75 dollars to send my 90, I insured the package for $650, and also added delivery confirmation.
At least I have a clear conscience, knowing that I didn't screw somebody.
He may not feel guilty about scamming, but it's on his ass, and from prior experience, Paybacks Are A Bitch.

He will be back on Runryder trying to figure out how to program his radio to the 90, and probably wanting to sell more crap. I posted the feedback about his lack of trading ethics.
Hopefully, the next guy will read the feedback and think twice about having any dealings with him.
I can't figure why he would do something like this.
If you look at his profile he writes that" I try to help people when i can"

Land line or cell phone? Why cant you just ask to send the pics from a phone?? How hard is that?

I have a problem where if i read an interesting thread i need to chime in...Sorry im too curious for my own good.

I'm going to ask something that i think everyone is thinking. We all know he screwed you, but why did you trade something without pictures in the first place? Trust aside, and i have been bitten for that also in the past, but it is the internet...

And i dont know about the laws there but i dont believe you can post addresses like that in forums... Bringing that up for your sake not to be a prick or know it all.

****ty deal you got, like i said i got **** beforev too, hopefully he straightens this out. If he has any respect for himself as a man he should.

Sure was dumb on my part to have gone ahead and believed what he was saying.
Posting his name and address, not to be a prick, but if he decides to go with another user name , then he's got to use his address.

I called once today, and not surprised he didn't answer the phone.

Yeah, the canopy has insulation in it, and since he used some crappy paint (and painted inside the canopy), when I pulled the insulation out of the canopy, alot of it is stuck to the inside of the canopy, like fur.

I'm doubtful that he will have much luck with this hobby.
the Gohbee is really a mess. Can't see how it was flying very well at all.
Only hoping when and if he can figure out the 90, then hopefully when it blows apart the pieces will be traveling with enough speed to do
as much damage as humanly possible.

Unfortunately when buying and selling on the boards, there is no golden standard of what constitutes "good" "fair" or "excellent" shape. What is excellent to me, will be different than another person. And photos only get you so far.

I have gotten burned a couple times recently buying "pristine" stuff, only to find its not quite so pristine. Fortunately the seller has made it right.

Whether its misrepresentation or misunderstanding on your part as a buyer, I believe unless it was disclosed as no returns accepted, the seller should stand behind what they are selling. At least for couple days after you recieve. You won't always find damage immediately. Nor the seller may not know internal damages.

I'm not sure if I am becoming more discerning as a buyer, or the quality of items being sold on the classifieds are slipping, but especially with nitro stuff right now, you can't be too careful.

Kickin it - flybar style.

Sorry to read what happened to you. He either owes you your Heli back or a lot of money. From the pictures in your Gallery you sent him a really clean machine and he sent you junk. I've done some buy without pictures but I'll be more careful now. I've just been lucky I guess.

Motor is bad too. Don't even know why I even bothered to try and
start it.
I have one strategy left to try.
Will share it if it works, and maybe some of these creeps
that are doing these bad deals will do some jail time.

They "fell off" because it was a 100% inferior product! I, unfortunately, wasted money on a Stinger once. Biggest POS EVER. It was all chinese CRAP. There is ZERO quality control with those machines/parts. Truly sad...what a waste.

Great deal: no pictures
A few. Ears ago I bought 3 never flown helis, 2 RTF scale helis and one bare frame, for $500 sight unseen. Every one was asking for pictures and would not make an offer. I looked at the seller's RR ranking, posts and Classified Feedback and found nothing to suggest a problem so I took a chance and offered the asking price. Photos of the scale helis are below

I feel like I did WAY good!

This hobby is WAY too expensive!!

Rockinbird back on RR.

These scammers come back on RR. He's not the only one, there was another guy on here Hirobo___, that did a bunch of bad deals. Guess a lot of people don't read the feedbacks.

He's back. Head's up on this guy.
If he has anything for sale or trade watch out.
He claims he can't figure out how to post pictures or
email pictures.
From reading another post on a deal, it looks like he was trying the money order is on the way, so mail the heli scam.
Can't tell, because details weren't posted.

I came across one on craigs a couple months ago.
The guy posts to Statesboro craigs and says he has bike for sale.
Email comes, that the bike is in Texas and he will accept escrow
to hold the bike.
He sent pictures, in the middle of summer,
there is snow in the backround.

Google has an image search.
So even knowing it was a scam, I did a search for the picture, and it matched one for a completed Ebay auction.
