The link is not working. I can see the C rating in the link though. I wouldn't go under 30c. You will notice the difference.

If you dont want to hack the frame, Turnigy has some skinny 6s packs that will fit under the canopy.

25c is a little low.

I have had good luck with these batteries. If you don't mind building a pack do the Turnigy route..

Bought 4 packs already ,with the higher voltage 25c should be fine ?

Current should be less than my 3s setup, did not see the need for 40c .

What is the current draw you guys are getting

They'll do, I flew them for many flights. The higher c packs have noticeably more pep. I haven't data logged the current, but suspect its higher than we think. I did puff a blue lipo pack beating on it.

Out of curiosity, then what's the point of the upgrade?

25C is fine. We don't even know what flying the guy is doing or his head speed or gearing.

A 25C 1300mah pack in theory can handle 32.5 amps continuous draw.

If you use 80% of a 1300mah pack in 4.5 mins which is some pretty hard 3D you are only averaging 13.8 amps.

Bobbyshafter, yes a 6s setup pulls half the current of a 3s setup but you have just over half the usual capacity of a 3s setup so the C ratings need to be about the same. However 25C is plenty unless you plan on spinning 4000 on the head and fly like Bert Kammerer when hes angry!

60% of the time, it works every time!

Bobbyshafter, yes a 6s setup pulls half the current of a 3s setup.
That might be true in the lab but not seem to agree in the real world, the reason being what the motor manufacturers make. An example being the Align 450MX motor.

The 3400Kv 3S motor has a continuous rating of 46Amps and 500Watts the 1700Kv motor is 30Amps and 650Watts. I have seen these kind of figures from other manufacturers. Just because they make a motor that can handle double the volts they don't wind it such that it uses half the amps.

The flight logs Align have posted also confirm this.

Agreed, but sometimes you have to go with what is available or what you want to spend.

I got two of the Voltz 1300 6S so that is what I have.

They don't check out all that well and take along time to finish balancing on my PL8 charger but that is another thread.
