Hi there, got an Align gp780 a few days ago and put it on my sport 450se. Finished setting it up a minute ago. Before i committed to replacing an old Futaba gy240 I took a little time to research the 780.
Upon discovering how many guys ran into sensitivity problems and tail waggles, I examined my gyro and while knowing that the gyro acts on the yaw axis, horizontal plane, it appeared to me that the four wires exiting the gyro are STIFF. All is not lost, I even turned my 780 to loom into the cf frame.
What you might know about anything that is ganged together is that it gains structural rigidity when bound by something. The four wires are bound but even a little between the colored jackets = STIFF flat together.
So what'd I doo, lemme show ya,
You see, I SPLIT THE WIRES apart with a slightly dull knife a bit then spread them apart some more to about an inch, or 3cm with my fingers. NOW, LOOSEY GOOSEY goodness they are nice and pliable on the yaw axis that I feel good, so good I did the same thing to the tail servo plug to keep it going all the way across.
Compare and you'll truly be AMAZED, nice little gyro if I don't say so miself,
one flaw, I fix, da.
