I ship a stuff every week via USPS Priority mail and shipped a package to CA last week and still has not made it to its destination. Tracking the package only tells me it left Philadelphia days ago. I paid $25.00 for what should have been 2-3 day service. I am pissed more so because I sold this to someone who really needed it fast. A call to the post office on both ends offers no help at all.

I have found USPS to be generally reliable. It sucks to pay for faster shipping and not get it but this is the Xmas season. Shipping anything is going to be slower. Also, need is pretty subjective when it comes to this hobby.

I've noticed here lately that the tracking isn't showing up on the website. Happened several times in the last month or so. Things have always shown up but no tracking AND a little late from what they said when shipped.

Been seven days so far and still isn't there. I am really disappointed with the USPS lack of service and tracking info.

Priority is not 2-3 days BTW, It is 2-5 days.....they write EXPECTED 2-3 days but in the fine print it says 2-5 days. I know it has been 7 days, and that is unacceptable but it is Christmas time.....I am sure they are swamped........Ron

Going on eight days unacceptable. I will be requesting a refund. I could have shipped parcel post at this rate.

You won't get a refund or anything else unless you insured the contents.

Same would happen with any other shipper.

The USPS priority confirmation number is not a tracking number. It does not work like a UPS tracking number. It's a delivery confirmation number. It will not track your package along its route. It will only show delivery at the delivery end of its route. That's why it's called a "delivery confirmation number"

Read about it at the USPS web site.

Actually Dennis, if you enter a Delivery Confirmation number in the tracking window then hit details on the resulting window, it will show every "hop" in the transit as the package arrives, is processed and leaves various sorting facilities enroute.

Looks like it updated. I for one will never use USPS for anything I can not afford to loose. Shipped a 14MZ insured with signature required. It was only going one state over and they lost it. Then they tell me it was delivered but they forgot the signature. Because of that they denied my insurance claim. Then to find out that you cant take the post office to small claims because its a federal agency and required federal court. No wonder they don't care.

Then, they changed since I used to use the USPS every day from an on line business that closed down about 3 years ago.

Actually, they do scan it but it's not tracking. I've found that sometimes they scan, sometimes they don't. When I asked about this at the PO, they told me it's NOT actually tracking, it's Delivery Conformation. I've also noticed that they aren't scanning on the route as much lately as they used to.

From now on I'll use UPS for high $$ items. Still not delivered as of today. Expected delivery sometime tomorrow. $25.00 for next week maybe sometime somewhere service.

Waiting on a package mailed from CA on 12/1
Still not here.

Tracking only shows it was shipped nothing else and no update as of today... Yes, frustrating...
