I am flying for F3C practice and I am building a flybared JR sylphide. For the gyro, I plan to buy the CGY750 instead of GY701, because I will cahnge into FBL head later when the FAI permits it. My question is: if I can just use the tail control function of the CGY750 and if it performs as good as GY701? Anyone has tried this setup?

Hi Mate,

Yes this can be done and I know of a few over here doing this currently.
From what I hear, the FAI will be allowing the installation of a 3 axis gyro in comp as long as its only being used on the tail axes.
I'm not sure when this rule is being released, some rumors are January and some are after the worlds, not sure on that.

But Yes you can use a 750 as a sigle axes gyro, and it works the same as a 701.

Thanks
Marc
