Not much talk on here of the N640......
I have noticed it seems like there is not much talk on the N640 on this forum.

Do not to many people have this heli?

I have one, and love it!

But i too am surprised a little with the lack of chat. The E640 seems to be leading the way. It seems Nitro's and Electrics bounce back and fourth in popularity.

My N640 though has become my favorite heli to fly. Which to be honest says a lot since I have never been happy with the 50 size market.

But this machine has been very durable and reliable. More trouble with the engines then anything else!

My N640 is my fly-every-day heli. I love flying it and like the flying characterics of the heli. One of the concerns I had were those button bolts. They easily strip so I changed them out to the hex heads instead.Ray Fernandez - GUAM

I get the impression that Century is losing market share. At least, like you say, not many people are talking about them.

Not just Century, but all brands. Nitro just isnt as popular as it used to be. But all kinds of action on the E640.

Nothing is wrong with the N640 at all, I am itching for the weather to warm up so i can fire mine up again. I will also be ordering soon the E640 to compliment it

True, however it's been my experience that just because a topic isn't being talked about, doesn't necessarily mean it is not good or that the product has a difficiency or that the product is not popular amongst flyers.

When I had my fleet of Ravens, I enjoyed them immensensly. Sure, there were some issues but being a tinkerer, I overcame them and continued flying them. I figured I would part with that particular model and try something new. Hence, I decided to get a N640. I've tried other brands and to be fair, all have good and bad points about them.

On the subject of electric vs. nitro, I will always be a nitro flyer. Had a bad experience with electrics and have just decided to stick with what I am comfortable with.....Nitro.

The old saying goes if a mans happy about a product he tells 2 maybe three but if hes unhappy about it he tells the whole world.

The N640 must be pretty good or RR would be eat up with complaints.

I think, personally, that the E helis are popular only because of being eco friendly and gas prices being what they are.

If you add it up, I think the brushless motors, ESC's, large lipo packs and the chargers needed to go with them would buy quite a few gallons of nitro.

without trying to turn this into a nitro vs electric thread...

I think that depends entirely on the persons abilities and flying habbits. Some people dont mind only a 5 minute flight. Sure, you could buy a lot of nitro with the cost of those ESC/motors/lipo's, but you also get at least twice to tripple the flight time on a tank of fuel, and dont need to deal with super chargers and hauling around some sort of power supply. There are pro's and cons to both, i personally have both and enjoy both for different reasons.

There is certainly a group dedicated to the electric for purely ideological reasons. Had one tell me I should be ashamed to be flying my 2 gassers while he had an all electric fleet....of course he drove 60 miles round trip to fly them. Oh yes, his car burned gas. Personnel I have all 3 and enjoy flying them.DK
