LIFE battery pack question...
Hi,
I have searched much but I still like to ask if It is possible to use 2Cell LIFE 6.6v pack with my Spektrum AR7000 receiver?
Should I connect directly to the receiver battery port or can I use some heavy duty switch between battery and RX. If switch is not safe to use then should I use servo extension lead to connect and disconnect RX LIFE pack.

secondly, I am going to install a 601 gyro on my Hirobo EVO 50, can someone guide me regarding the proper mounting of the gyro to the heli.

Appreciate your help.

You can hook the Life 6.6v volt lipo directly to the RX no problem. Just make sure you have a step down regulator for the tail servo, if it does not support more than 4.8v. Your gryo is fine with the voltage also. You can mount your gyro anywhere inline with the mainshaft, rear of heli, front of heli, upside down, just make sure to use double side tape, and maybe secure it with a strap.

It doesn't have to be "inline with the main shaft."
In fact it can go anywhere.
You could even attach to a 20 foot pole sticking out the side of helicopter.

The only requirement for a single axis tail gyro is that it is mounter on a flat surface perpendicular to the yaw axis.

By "inline" he means "parallel to".
