Gotcha. As John stated, it does take power to run the fan. So, if your electronics are running cool, there's no real need to have it installed. The less power you consume, the longer your flight times.

All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!

Thanks Barry. The motor and ESC felt good after the first four minutes of flight so I will go ahead and remove the fan.

To AtTheCross;
Thanks. It is a b model from Unique Models in Dalton GA. Darrell does awesome work and is very well known in the RC Heli community for his giant Jet Ranger in GA State Police colors.

Thanks Stan
Yes Darrell's Huey is really nice and comes with panel lines etc on it.
I will take it apart after one more test flight to change tail blades and do some reinforcement on my tail drive. That is probably contributing to that loose tail feel.
Then it's body work and detailing prior to paint.

Look forward to seeing what you and some of the other fellas are working on during the winter months

Only On The Weekends!!
Jim, he is only Chinese on the weekends!!!\

I am pretty sure that he does not have the new site up and ready to run as of yet... best way to contact him is to hit him here on RR with a pm: darrelluh1b
It might take a little while for him to respond... he is hard at work cleaning up his shop and getting things ready to go again...

Good Luck, Stan

@ AtTheCross
Stan is right. Best way to contact him right now is by PM or email.
On page 1 of this thread he made a post. Go there and use the PM and email links to get hold of him. I also had his N model Huey (212) but copterdoctor has it now. He has pics of it in his gallery. I also have a good pic in my gallery which lets you see how big it is.
