PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR DONATIONS
Ok basic rundown here
If you are donating PLEASE
PM me what you are donating When confirming please let me know if your donation can/should be public.
PM laughingstill for HIS ship to addy- Ron will be our collection point and builder.

I will consider your donation confirmed after I get a PM from you. We all will then be counting on you to get the item shipped to Ron. This way there is no confusion on what we can count on and have some double checks in place to keep it all square.

So this following list is unconfirmed and there is some questions.
Pantera 50 A/f
3x 6040 servos
Jr 7703d gyro
BLS251
9C 2.4 radio
6x 8417s
Spktrum RX unknown type
2 more Jr7703d gyros
1 or 2 sims
1 or 2 Futaba Rxs
a NIP Trex 600 pro Heli (unknown if electronics are in or not)
Non Hyper 50 motor
A 50 pipe
A set of Rail FBL 606 blades
a 3GX FBL Unit
At least $100 in cash, confirmed
I may have missed some stuff

Please keep in mind this is an unconfirmed list. I hope to publish a confirmed list this evening.
Based on that list we almost have 2 complete Helis here.
We have no starting equipment and one set of blades (the wrong kind)

I see no reason not to collect, give folks the opportunity to give, as much as we can. If we have the resources we can spread the cheer.

RIP ROMAN

1 tiny suggestion
Put the confirmed list of parts in the First thread so users dont have to fish through several pages to see whats needed.
Looks like all thats needed is a

Align 2 in 1
2 cell lipo for the 2 in 1
align Starter (Starter with cone and wand)

I will do a confirmed list this evening along with a wish list too.
Nitros at this point.

Both air frames are confirmed. The T600pro(FB) is A/F only. We have a 3GX, 2 set of mains, one set of tails, motor and pipe all confirmed.

Im sure the list will be much clearer by later this evening.

Most Current listing of CONFIRMED Donations
***Note changes****
This list are items confirmed via email
Please note an important change, Looks like the Trex is not going to workout. Things change, stuff comes up, not a big deal.

Confirmed
Dyecocker Pantera 50 air frame
MartyH OS 50 motor
jjeaster222000 3GX fbl unit
DBbusdriver 95mm Tail Blades
Wrongler $100 cash
Harshflyer Futaba 9c 2.4 radio
Simages NIB R6108SB rx, 3 ea 6",12" 22" servo extensions
Bart2546 NIP Maverick G5 wide cords
Fboss, NIP rail 606 FBL Blades, 50 size pipe

That is every thing that has been confirmed.
So to field one complete heli we need:

All Servos

Starter
glow igniter
RX battery
Battery for the 9C

Some of that has been pledged but has yet to be confirmed so may still be coming.

I had a long talk with the fella who now runs the wounded warrior heli project at Walter Reed. Im still totally open but I was just doing my due diligence. It was a very good call. He takes guys, in a formal program from coaxial, to sims, to fixed pitch, then on up to the 500 class helis he has. He can use any and everything we send him and Im sure it will put to good use. A 600/50 class, should it go that way, would be used for his most talented flyers.

Ill admit Im feeling very confident this would make a good place for our efforts. So you know where I stand. Im one vote.

Please note He can use it all as they pretty much run the gambit. Sims, coaxials, fixed pitched, 500 class electronics (they have a few 500s). servos, blades. good part is, it will be used. And mabey 50 nitros .

We are very close to a complete Heli here folks. whatever is donated will be put to good use.

That Guy is Me
Hello,

I am not a big user of Runryder... but it sure is a great site. Yes, I have taken over from a good friend Henry Gardner after he passed away a couple of months ago. Actually, I have been pretty much running things all this year as Henry got weaker and weaker.

Say, these vets are pretty cool guys and their level of experience runs the gambit. I have one guy, a double leg amputee, that can fly better than most of the people here. I was not able to help him much as donations kinda dried up when Henry was not able to solicit. I have way more requests then I can fill.

If you have a simulator laying around doing nothing... or a micro heli w/controller in good shape...or good as new, I can find it a proper home pretty fast. For those of you that don't know, these guys can be assigned to the hospital for years before they are ready for discharge. Those hours are tough to fill. Guess what... helis consume a huge amount of time in a constructive manner.

I work in the OT (occup therapy) section with TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and amputees and hand injuries. The flying of helis really improves the fine motor skills in a meaningful way. We have one armed pilots that can fly mild 3D.

Any donations are directly to the American Red Cross and I am not sure, but you should be able to get tax deductions for anything of value donated. Even if you don't donate to us, the veterans hospitals and retirement homes can always use busy items. Things to keep people busy.

Can only speak for myself, but I've included all my donations to the Wounded Warriors Heli Project in my tax returns since Henry started the program back in 2010. HRBlock has always calculated anything I've donated and will this year as well. I've even printed out parts of a RR thread, communication and pictures with retail value to estimate the percent claimed and it's all good. For me its a "Win-Win" besides making my heart soar!!!!

As a retired US Army MSG and still serving as a DOD DA Civilian....... totaling 36.5 years now. Of course you can +1 my vote for WW Project at Bethesda Naval Hospital & Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

@Heli_Splatter - I will get down there very very soon and hope to arrange for visits by my fiancée and her certified therapy dogs....

Regards - Keith

I offered a GY-401 with the 9C if needed. Still fussing with the battery. Gets better with every cycle.

I vote for the wounded warriors at the Reed. I can not put into words how I feel about our soldiers/veterans.

Still asking why
