I have only flown one other FBL than the 750 which is the Beast on a 600E. It was good and so was V1.2 on the 750.

With that said, V1.3 blows them both away. Extremely locked in, no setup issues, no wobbles/bounces, and pure input equals pure response.

I've updated the firmware to V1.3

Today, I did a flipping loop with a Raptor G4. The model locked in. No interaction at all! Futaba has really done a great job with this firmware update.

Hi guys, we just posted a minor bug fix to version 1.3 of the software. It was found that that a write error can happen when transferring parameter data from a PC to the CGY750. Additionally the rudder trim data was not always memorized correctly.

Version 1.31 is available for download at: http://www.futabarc.com/software-updates.html

It's great to see how many of you are enjoying the new software. If you are running electric you have to try the phase sensor to use the CGY750 as a governor. It REALLY works well. The headspeed on my own machine is exactly the speed I input into my transmitter, even during a fairly hard climb out.

If V 1.3 is working well, is 1.31 necessary?

If the update is installed, will all settings remain without any further programming?

Opps guys, we accidently posted the revision to the software that we use to update our stock. This only works with a special CIU-2. Do not download this version and attempt to install, the correct version will be up tomorrow.

Same question with regard to the revised revision:

If V 1.3 is working well, is 1.31 necessary?

If the update is installed, will all settings remain without any further programming?

Thanks,
Bob

Please see the post I made to the main FBL forum in jadams's thread for clarification. Hopefully Mark will let the thread stay there for a little while so it gets a wider audience. Some guys, including myself, forget to go to the bottom of the page for the news section.

Guys, the bug fix 1.31 has been re-posted and is available for download. This is not going to change any of your settings or anything else. Just the two small fixes that I and Ben have both mentioned. Download the Special Note on 1.31 also which is just a reiteration of this fact.

That's easy since I have flown a G4 on both the 5.3 VBar and 1.3 CGY750. I very much prefer the feel of the CGY over the VBar. I do a lot of piro maneuvers and the CGY just locks in and flies with the tail constantly piro'ing around, flat and no weird phasing. Setup with 1.3 is cake, plain and simple, pick the heli size, pick the servo combo, check gyro directions, go fly.
