Dood I understand that!!

My inlaws have a windows unit. Is it a chance to brick it? Or should I wait and see if it is something dr Ben would do?

There are two known ways to brick the cgy750.

The first is to power the unit through the Rev sense port. I bricked my first cgy750 this way. I'm the reason there is a warning about this in the update instructions.

The 2nd way is to have an intermittent power source during the initial power up after the update.
Use a direct power source instead of a bec for the initial email boot and you won't have a problem.

its easy to update it yourself, provided you read the instructions for both the ciu2 and the cgy750.

I have updated the unit.

I have levaled the swach in the ntr screen

Taken expo out of cgy in both Avcs an Nor

Adjusted both blades to Zero at center stick

then set the right aileron and elevator limits in the unit

I have 12 high 11 low pitch at 60%

The unit is compinsating corectly.

Is there any thing elese to complete the setup?

Completed the firmware update to 1.3 for a Raptor 30v2, x50 and G4. All are configured to flight mode 3. The only thing I did was to zero out the Ele/Air Expo and set the expo in the 12Z tx.

Each machine was flown a minimum of one flight.

Prior to the first flight of each machines I double checked the gyro to ensure all control surfaces moved in the correct direction and gyro compensated in the correct direction. Thanks to Bobc1 (Bob) for double checking the 750 configuration!

Observations:

While transitioning in level flight right to left I added rudder so the machines would piro....they all flew like they were on tracks. The machines kept the line it was on with no corrections from this pilot. I added collective pumps to see if that affected the tracking. Had no impact whatsoever.

I'd set the machine up for level fight inverted or right side up, take my hands of the sticks and the machine would track straight....Amazing.

I did a knife edge fall, set the collective to zero and let the machine fall. No input to correct the rudder was required; nor,did I have to add and Ail to maintain a straight fall.

When using version 1.2, the Raptor30V2 had elevator bobble. I tried different flight modes, D/I gain setting, heads speeds and could not mitigate the bobble. After installing 1.3 this all went away. I had to change some gyro gains but other than that all the 750 setting were bone stock and the machine's flying quailities improved dramatically.

I did notice battery consumption increased. Predicated upon how locked in the models now flight I'm guessing the servos are working more to maintain the correct attitude, which will consume more battery.

The long story short: V1.3 is fantastic!

Chuck aka Scooterpilot and I agree that this is the best flying setup we have seen so far.

Thanks for your help.

When you say "this is the best flying setup we have seen so far" do you mean it is the best cgy750 firmware you've flown, or it is the best flybarless unit you've flown?
