Shuttle SXX EP Flybarless

http://model.shinlog.jp/hirobo_fan/...lizer-less.html

I'm really curious about this helicopter.

Seems to be a cheap quality helicopter for learning new smooth 3D moves.

Does anybody fly this machine? Any thoughts or opinions about it?

The motor is a modified Scorpion 4025 890kv - this should be all right for 3D

- or not?

The new Shuttle has a 120* degree swash and now it even comes with a flybarless head.

my converted shuttle to fbl was great nobar
and then i wrecked it with a pile of poo 3g
after i ripped the 3g off it i crashed the heli and damaged my converted head
the heli is back to a flybar at the moment
this one is nitro powered

the electric shuttle i have with an aftermarket conversion is balistic on 6 cell and the thunder tiger's own raptor 550e motor
(i can't remember the kv rating)

both are the hpm versions

so electric and fbl the shuttle should be a good powerful heli
ans eccpm should take all the slop out of the shuttle's hpm control system

@ payne1967

Thanks for your input

Nice helicopter kit - but how is part support in the USA or Canada ?

If I would order one from Japan - shipping would be

8350 japanese Yen = 105 US Dollar

And if I need spare parts - it would probably take forever to get them.?

Guess you'd have to buy 2 then Mark.

You can contact Great Hobbies as they can order from MRC.

Thanks John - I don't really want to go with two kits.

I was hoping, that Hirobo is better supported in North America.

I checked some of the major online stores about Shuttle parts -

and the situation looks very poor.

I'm surprised, because the Shuttle used to be so a popular machine.

Omg there's hope after all. Wouldn't a leccy SDX with plastic fbl head be something?

As for this Shuttle, is it coming stateside?

@ AWittleWabbit:

I try to stick with 6S - for a Hirobo SDX (I think) you need at least 8S or 10S Lipos.

I like the simple design of the Shuttle.

You know I forgot that little detail. ATM I'm limiting (or my bank account) my self to 6s as well. I'm committed to a E6 550 here in a week or so, but if this Shuttle makes it stateside I will buy it. I have 6s 5000mah lipos waiting already from my plankHeli-itis sufferer.

having built and flown a sceadu electric with the hirobo conversion on 6 cell
i is not the best
the sceadu will require 8-10 cell
and would be even better 12s with the correct kv motor
like the v2 trex600e

I have converted my Sceadu Evo to 6S with TMRF conversion, flies great, no 3d flying, sport / F3C flying only, great power no problems

I use 6S long stick pack with TMRF battery plate so change the battery is very easy, insert battery from back and no need to remove the canopy

This electric conversion looks very simple and it's affordable, too.

http://www.world-of-heli.de/hubschr...ohne-motor.html

Especially - you can run any kind of motor - not like the Hirobo EP

conversion set (modified Scorpion 4025 890kv)

Updates?
How is this heli coming along? I was looking for one to make a suitable trainer. The electric shuttle FBL comes to mind. I would like to hear some reviews please. Thanks!
