My new Radikal Gasser

It's all Century other than a Vario swash driver.. Billme did all the setup with a Futaba CGY750 and broke the motor in with a 14x8 Master Airscrew prop on the bench.. It's flies just like a flybarred machine.. I can't tell the difference.. no pitchieness in fast forward flght.. Align servos, (Futaba BLS256 on the tail), StatorGator sensor into the CGY gov running 1450 on the head.. Century's ignition box, stock Zenoah motor and carb.. Century head (bought it from Mojave here on RR) and Century blades.. Flies absolutely phenomenal! Running Coleman fuel and 32:1 ester based oil. Going to put it the gorgeous Radikal based prepainted Hughes 500D red and black fuse with a full lighting system.. The more you fly it the smoother it gets!!

Oh yeah! forgot two crucial things.. It's running the Radikal 30 clutch to swing that big disk and an 11 tooth pinion gear..

Jet Ranger should be no problem.. The glasswork on the fuses for the Radikal is stellar.. When I got my fuse the first thing I did was take the bottom plate from the mechanics and screw it into the prepainted woodwork and it was spot on! The biggest challenge with this project was getting the multi working as well as we wanted.. The Jet Ranger should just bolt right in with a two bladed flybarless head.. I am very impressed with this motor too.. tons of power for a smaller gasser.. My only other gasser experience has been with Vario Benzines and those are great but pricy!

Yeah man.. you always want to build it pod and boom 1st.. Specially with a gasser.. that way you get all the "vibes" and issues out of it and if you crash you won't blow up your fuselage..
