OS 37 or TT39?
I'm thinking of the gaui nx4 for 3d, is the OS37 worth all the extra money over the TT39?

If you can afford it, OS over TT anytime. The OS will tune faster and hold its tune much much better then the TT.
OS #8 is ideal for the 37 imho.

Always had better luck with OS back in the nitro days. I think I would spend the extra for the extra piece of mind for sure.Joel

The OS 37 is one of the best engines that OS has ever made. It pretty well runs flawlessly. No brainer which engine to buy.

Its almost double the price of the TT! How about if you can stand slightly less power and don't mind fiddling with the needles?60% of the time, it works every time!

Get the OS or you'll be back here posting "I should have listened to you guys" and you will just added the cost of a TT to the cost of getting the OSAndy

Your out of pocket expense will be greater still when you try the 39, realize what we are all saying is correct, and then have to buy the 37 after having already paid for the 39. The price paid for premium quality, trouble free equipment is more than worth it. TT has progressively improved their carbs over the years to what is out now with the new 50 and 100 class engines. The 39 does not enjoy that distinction.

OS 37..

Fuss-free, set and fly.. No issues, very strong and good motor. I had that in my very first bird a raptor 30 and never had issues and never even had to touch the needles once broken in.

TT on the other hand.. Lets not go there

I have no experience with the TT engine so - no comment.

One draw-back to the OS37 is the fact it uses a non-generic sized rear bearing that will set you back £32. The OS 32 might be a better option for this model. I have seen a few shops here still have them.

I have a 37 because it came as part of a deal. I have had the Magnum Fuels Glide Bearing fitted that should pay for itself.

OS37 every day, every time. That has to be THE best OS heli engine ever made. Makes great power, is super easy to tune and lasts FOREVER. I have one in a Raptor and another in a Century Hawk Pro. You want the CN3039 "silent" muffler from Century for the most power. Be forewarned the sound is tinny and LOUD with this muffler. There is nothing silent about it.

If you want to spend time fussing with a engine and little time flying get the 39. If you want to set it and have little fuss then get the 37. Very smooth engine and lots of power. I to bought the 39 at frist but hated it and bought the os 37 never looked backed. My vote is always the 37 you will be very pleased

TT engines run like ****. The 37 with a pipe will be the best option.

OS is using an uprated bearing from one of their high performance car engines in the 37 so as to avoid issues with bearing longevity. From all appearances they were successful.
