Guys,

I have bought a YGE 120 ( High Voltage version ) for my Goblin 700 running 12S on a Quantum 4530-500 motor.

Is this speed controller going to be OK on this motor/heli combo.

Only reason I ask is that I did a search here on RR and it seems most are using the YGE 120 on the 630..... I fly big air 3D, not really hard smack. I'd appreciate any opinions on the S/C, Motor, Heli combination wether its sufficient, or perhaps should I send it back and go for the YGE 160 to be on the safe side??

Cheers

Cheers, Will.

I opened the lower vent about 10mm and cut the heat shrink around the FETS. No cooling issues at all and great performance.

I notice Both governor mode the tail kick quite a lot
Is it possible to have a slow start like the Castle Creation HV ESC does?
my throttle curves are: normal 0 50 100
idle 1: 64% flat line
idle 2: 76% flat line
thanks

120a....
I think you'll be good...but I did have a hard shutdown on my jive 120 last summer that resulted in a burnt goblin 700

I have since gone to the yge 160 on my goblin 700

Set mode 10 to prevent spike over current shut downs.

You'll know it's working it'll make another chirping noise on startup to let you know.
