I ordered a couple of Duo Pro switches/regulators from Matt on 10/2/12. Still waiting. I spoke to him last week and was told I would receive them late last week or early this week.

On PR website, my order still shows pending, no shipment. Now, no reponse from Matt either by phone or email.

Does anyone have any info/contact with him?

Thanks,
Bob

I finally got in touch with Matt, via telephone. I was advised that the products were sent this morning.

No Response or Product From Perfect Regulators
Just a heads up regarding Matt/Perfect Regulators.

My order of two Duo Pro Regulators that was made and charged on 10/2/12 has never been completed.

Several phone calls to Matt indicated that the product was delayed then supposedly sent via priority mail and I was told that a tracking number would be provided.

Now, Matt fails to answer phone calls/emails. Still no shipment.

I disputed the charges on my CC.

Thanks,
Matt

I might end up eating my words but take it easy. Sure, there was a delay but you just talked to the guy 3 days ago. Why would you be chasing him with multiple phone calls since then? Give it a couple more days. If you had no contact all this time I'd feel a little differently.

When people fail to answer the phone or return calls/emails. It usually means they have your money and you aren't getting your product.

Kind of like when you barrow friends money. They answer their phone every day, even at 1am but as soon as they owe you money, you can never get ahold of them. File the claim and be done with it. If you are looking for a regulator, get a Western Robotics.

Matt has a lot on his plate right now, please continue to be patient with him regarding this issue. He will not take your money and not send you your product.

Over three weeks of calls then no tracking number is enough for me.

I get that Bob but can you accept that something unusual may have happened? I know this hobby if life or death and you are put out but maybe there is a reasonable explanation. I refuse to let me hobby stress me out. I hope everything is ok with Matt (who I don't know) and secondarily that you get your parts. Certainly you can't get ripped off since you paid by credit card.

Have you asked for your money back?

That might be the best course of action. If you don't get a reply or get a "no", then file a dispute.

People have personal issues, but you can't be put out for it. It's a business transaction.

Business is business. It's customary that they want their money when goods and/or services are rendered. It's customary for a customer to want his goods/services rendered when paid.

This is modelling, but if it involves a business transaction, act like a business. I don't care if it's a cottage industry. He's not wanting a friendship, just his parts.

I just thought it was a little quick to the trigger after waiting 3 weeks. He finally hears from the guy and 72 hours later files a dispute with the cc company. Anyway, hope it works out for everyone involved.

3 weeks + 72 hours is "a little quick to the trigger?"

That's 24 days. Usually, you have 30 days to dispute a CC charge.
Are you suggesting he waits 6 more days, or should he wait 7 more days or when it's too late?

ok... i told myself i wasn't going to get involved but this has gone on too long.

he's perfectly fine. truth is he got caught up in some younger gal and made a whole boat load of poor choices. he's hosed me, my friends, and a community of good people and i refuse to hide that any more. i used to call him a friend as he was my first sponsor and we chatted daily but the people in the heli community are also my friends and i'm not going to cover for someone that continually lies. for the record what i say is not some big secret. he's not shy about posting it all over facebook so don't think i'm telling you all anything that you couldn't see for yourself.

sorry Matt but you just can't screw good people like this over man. we're all family here in a way and will stand up for each other. so guys.... file whatever you need to file but there's nothing I've seen or heard that would suggest that perfect regulators will be handling anything. i hope one day i can found to be wrong about that

I am in the same boat as a couple of you guys here. I sent him back my V1 bec to get it exchanged for the V2. It has been well over a month since I have sent it back and have heard nothing from him for 3 or 4 weeks. At this point it is too late to file a dispute or anything. I hate getting ripped off and hate being lied to, I seriously hope he mans up and makes this right.

Why should we. From what I've read I shouldn't. Unless there's a typo.

If a business person says it's out today and will have tracking number he better follow thru. When I order from HeliProz or HeliProz South, Experience RC, Cajun Helis, Tammies or any other RR vendor, They tell me when it will ship. Sometimes late Friday, they will tell me it may go out that day but expect Monday. That's all I want is a reasonable estimate with integrity.

He was talking to the guys blindly supporting Matt.

I agree, you waited long enough. Business is business, if he couldn't deliver the product in a reasonable amount of time he should have never taken your order and charged your card. This is not a custom order of a specialty product.

I've always used Fromeco regulators and have always received great service from them.

I don't know if the limit varies by card, but I was able to successfully dispute a partial charge earlier this year that was at least 60 days old. However, I didn't intentionally wait that long. That was the elapsed time from the time deposit payment was made until the item showed up. It wasn't until after the item showed up that it required a partial dispute.

Bottom line is that you never want to wait longer than necessary to file a dispute.
