Why is it some members don't leave feedback?

Ive thought about this some. I think to some it doesnt seem important. I think others just forget.
Then you have those that wont leave feedback unless you do first.

I don't. I just never think about it. If I am prompted by someone to rate them, I usually make a point of doing so. If I sell something which is rare, I never badger the buyer to leave me feedback on RR. I can point someone to my eBay account with 15 years of 100% feedback if they're concerned about that sort of thing.

I make it a point to tell the buyer to leave feedback once they receive the item and I'll do the same, 99% of them do.

Probably the same reason sellers dont close their sales threads once an item is sold...

As per Mark Ryder sales threads remain open, they can not be closed.

I wonder if it would help if there was a standard good or bad feedback button?
And also the ability to write your own feedback if you want.
It might make it easier!

That's okay, I have bought all sorts of things here and no one leaves feedback. Guess a good buyer doesn't mean much.

In order for the feedback system to work, give credit when due, positive or negative. This will alleviate us to most scammers.

IMO it's quite tedious leaving feedback if you don't post in the actual thread and have the "add classified feedback" link. An easier way to leave feedback couldn't hurt.

But they can easily be marked sold.

I see the add feedback link on all the sales listings? You don't?

Say I list something for sale, you buy it from me and never actually post something in my for sale thread, I would have to follow the "add feedback without green link" instructions and follow the steps below, or find you in another classified post somewhere, click the link and modify the url to point it back to my thread.

Kind of tedious, the add feedback system could be streamlined a little.

Click on any working Add Classified Feedback link.

Then edit the "feedback=1" and "postid=229860" displayed in your browser address bar.

https://rc.runryder.com/rr/newreply...1&postid=229860

feedback=?
Find this value in the member's profile (click member name). See address bar (userid=1).
postid=?
Find this value by clicking the post's PM link. See address bar (postid=229860).
After changing the two values press ENTER and then proceed with your new Post Reply.
Be sure to click Preview and review your new Classified Feedback reply.
Make sure the title (Post Reply to Topic and your message makes sense.

You can go into buyer/seller feedback and add a post or feedback. Just click on POST REPLY on the very last page of their feedback.

True, that is another way to do it, but it doesn't contain a link to the for sale thread that the feedback was left for and would have to be manually added.
