Whenever I unload the head like when I am losing altitude I get the shakes to the point that it is almost uncontrollable. I just changed the swash plate because there was some play in it but it did not do any thing for the shakes. Any one have any suggestions or have had this happen to them? As long as I have a load on the head it is OK. OH buy the way it is a V1.

If you dont have canopy groments on the swash do that makes a big difference also make sure main blades are not to tight and gear mesh not to tight and i dont know how old it is but if its used clean the servos ive seen them be the cause alot

I consider that shake normal after time am I the only one?
I had that happen on both of my MCPX's V1 and 2. I crashed them alot and the blades being nicked seemed to lead to it. I did at one point add a shim on the spinddle to take up some play. It worked and then I crashed and it was back. They seem to fly well with every thing tight and never crashed but over time this problem was unavoidable for me.

I have a 3D heli, I don't understand why it doesn't do 3D

OK just had a conversation with the guy that owns topcopter and he suggested the grommets also.I seem to think that is the solution also. Going to give them a try.

+1 on the grommets on the swash.

Also make sure your spindle isn't bent. I had one ever so slightly bent and caused the thing to shake like it was going out of style.

I also hear that when the servos get dirty, it can also cause this. I've never had a problem with dirty servos in either of my V1's however.

I want to make sure that everthing is ok in the head. I am pretty sure that it is the slop in the controls but I just want to make sure everything is up to par. I have the V1 that did not come with the grommets.

Well this is a follow up on my problem. I put the o rings on all of the swash and uprights and I can report that the beast is flying better than when I first took it out of the box. The heli is rock solid now. Huge difference in how stable it is.

Ha ha
Thats cool nothing better than when everything works right. Have fun dont forget in a crash always check to see if your main gear is down to low or sliped on the shaft it will cause instant vibes that and the spindle

One final thing. If you ever get the shakes again and everything else looks fine, then you could have a hairline split in the main shaft where the screws go through.

I had this on one of mine one time and it drove me nuts. A little CA and five minutes later it was as good as new.
