I think in every single 450 Pro FBL crash, at least one, sometimes two, never all three so far, servo gear sets have broken. I have switched to TGY-S306G (MKS DS95 clones), and I think they are holding up somewhat better, but one broke in my last crash.

I think I read somewhere about making a notch in the servo arm, and have that break instead - it's certainly cheaper than new servos $22 each, or Align DS410M gearsets at $17.

Yes, the best solution is to never crash again

I wouldn't weaken your arms cause they might break in flight... Just put the plastic gears instead of metal... Fact of fbl most servo gears will strip

Metal gears and plastic servo arms are the best combination in my opinion. I do this on 450-90 sized helis.

Enjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy.
