Hi all , I have A Raptor E 620 in A TT UH1Y Fuse But in 2 minds to run the Lipo packs in parallel and up the Pinion size or Run in series and keep the Pinion as it is at 9 tooth ? I want to get the best run time out of it without doing damage to the electrics ...
I have stock Motor TT 49/08 but not sure on the KV rating,2 X 22.2 V 5000 /50 C /100C burst,running TT 600 carbon main blades 60 mm cord , 9 tooth Pinion , 111 tooth Main gear , - 3 deg bottom Pitch , 6 deg mid , 11 deg top ....

First order of business is deciding what headspeed you want to run and what rotor head, then go from there. Are you planning to run the 4 blade head? Running in parallel and adding a higher tooth count pinion will only add weight, tax the motor more and drop your efficiency. You will get longer run times from the extra MAH, but the trade off is the system will run hotter. Running in series for 12S will require a lower KV motor. My approach is the "light is might" theory. A good motor/gearing combo with the lightest battery for best flight performance.

Running on 6S with the 111 tooth main and 9 tooth pinion with a 1000KV motor will net you approx 1600 rpm HS, which you can govern down by 10-20%. Or you can run a 10 tooth pinion and net 1800 RPM HS and govern it down.
