I doubt they would allow it, but it would be nice to use some of the Tower October discounts towards it

I ordered mine and it was $599. -$50 off coupon.

So the total is $550.00 shipped with a R7008SB receiver..

Doug.

Found something interesting in the Robbe catalog. They will be including sensors for RPM, current, voltage, and residual battery capacity into their ESC's. Hopefully others will follow or at least release mah counters.

Here is a big question:
Because you have 2 way communication will it do some kind of model matching. I believe you can easily make a device that sits on the sbus2 and identifies your aircraft back to the radio. I would treat it like a id sensor or you can make a small device that lets your program in a custom message that is just displayed back on the radio. Or can you just display the UUID of the receiver and allow to give it a nickname. Not sure but this should go around the model matching patent owned by spectrum. Please do something.

I guess I'll be able to pickup an 8FG Super for next to nothing shortly when the guys who have to have the latest and greatest decide the 8FG just isn't cutting it any more.

I have to say, they may finally be offering enough of an advantage over my module based 10CHP to get me to bite.

Nice Doug. I dunno if this is possible but...

Someone that has this radio now could you do a short you tube showing switch space difference and alarm loudness difference and demonstrate vibration alerts?

That would be awesome. And if have 8fg just a short 360 vid comparing two and in same hands?

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Folks, we will have some videos forthcoming, however probably not until we actually have production models in hand.

Great to see how excited everyone is about this radio!

Model compatibility
A long shot - but hoping like crazy the model setup from the 12FG will able to be imported into the 14SG

Anyone got info on this?

Throttle curve offset? One pet peeve with my 8FG is that it's a pain in the neck to change head speed with the PowerJive and HeliJive. If I'm running a flat curve at, say, 58%, and I want to increase it to, say, 62%, there ought to be a simpler way than having to change all 5 points on the curve. And if you are changing 3 flight modes, that's a total of 15 points. Needless to say, the iPod wheel makes this tedious and cumbersome. Why can't I just somehow tell it to increase all points on the curve by 4 percentage points? Not sure, but I think the 18MZ does this. I wish we could have that on the new 14SG.

Edit: Maybe there's a roundabout way to do this with a P mix, but that's a topic for a different thread.

You can disable the middle 3 points of the throttle curve on the 8fg.

Very nice indeed...thanks. Can't believe I didn't realize that sooner. OK, so now I'm down to moving two points for each curve instead of five. Still would be nice to only move one instead of two.
