Check your end points make sure your end points are the same in both directions if they are correct your your zero at mid stick your shouldnt have a problem

If everything is 90 on the heli its a programing problem just make sure everything is set the same % in both directions

Mabey one day i will actually land one of these things !!

Not sure i dont have a dx7 anymore

You could fix it by changing the endpoints but that would kinda be the wrong way lol

Im gonna go take a look at the manual

p.s are you wearing your old man glasses when setting up the radio

Your running flybarless on everything too right ?

That may be a problem in setup of the 3gx

Endpoints are NOT the problem.

Assuming this is a flybar CCPM heli, set your endpoints to 100%. Temporarily use a pitch curve of 0 - 50 - 50 - 50 - 100, a big flat spot at what should be mid-collective, zero degrees. The big flat spot makes it that as long as your stick is SOMEWHERE in the flat spot, your servos will be where you can make the 90 degree geometry thing happen.

Sub-trim at zero, trim at zero. The servo arms will generally go on the splined shaft in one position where the arms will be at 90 degrees, or very very close. Get that as close as you can, then use SUB-TRIM to fine tune.

Next, with the same setting, the washout levers on the mainshaft, the pitch levers up on the flybar seesaw, the flybar, the paddles, the swashplate -- ALL want to be horizontal, parallel to each other. Then set your pitch links -- usually the short ones going to the grips for zero degrees.

If all the mixing levers on the head are parallel to each other and horizontal, you will NOT end up with differential pitch measurements.

To get the proper overall desired pitch range, move the stick from that big flat spot at 50%, up to the 100% end. Adjust your SWASH MIX PITCH value up or down to get the overall travel you need. Double check the negative value by moving the stick to the 0% position. You DON'T use the endpoints to set the pitch travel, or to equalize the pitch travel. The PITCH number in the SWASH MIX menu does that.

If you got all the levers level and parallel to each other, the arms at their proper orientation, and the swash level at the 0 degree setting, you should have equal + and - pitch.

ENDPOINTS are used to insure that the swash remains level at full positive and full negative pitch, not to give you the correct +/- travel range. If you have the swash level at mid stick, yet find it not level at full + or full -, adjust the endpoint of the servo that moved too far, or not far enough to level the swash out.

-----

If you're flying an FBL heli using the 3GX setup, in the DIR menu part of the setup, again use that pitch curve with the big flat spot, set the stick in the middle, and get the servo geometry correct, first with the arms on the splines, followed by the use of sub-trim. Adjust the three links supporting the swash to get the swash level, then finally the two links going to the grips for ZERO degrees. FBL is easier, there are less links to worry about.

With the basic geometry correct, go for a pitch range (using the SWASH MIX PITCH number) of +/- 12 degrees. Then use the AILE and ELEV values in the SWASH MIX menu to get 8 degrees of aileron and elevator cyclic. Set your pitch curves as desired, then go through the rest of the 3GX setup.

I'm back, and this heli is FBL and I have all mixing arms paralleled. But in all my helis flybarred or not I've never had any luck with even pitch.Which there still flyable just I would always have more neg or pos.But with this 3gx I wanted it even

I did say that was not the right way the only reason i said to check it was because he said the head was setup properly

There is no wrong or right hole its preference You just adjust your links accordingly

IF everything is 90 at mid stick its a programing problem
