Every time I do negative collective punchouts of any kind my tail blows out. I have changed the software all over the place in my vbar to try to fix it. I am running a DS620 on the tail which is the stock servo. I have a KDE motor with a 13T pinion. My head speed is about 2600-2700 rpm. I have not had an issue with anything else just my tail when doing negative collective and hard punchouts. It is not when I ease in to it its when I put some hurt on it. Any ideas?

I'm trying to solve this without buying a new tail servo. I know that would be a simple solution but I would rather try something else.

You could try bigger tail blades.

I am running the same kde motor/pinion setup. I run my 550 with a 600 boom and 96mm tail blades. I started with a jr8900g and now I am running a Savox 2271 (only switched to ditch the tail regulator). With both of these tail servos, my tail has been completely rock solid without any hint of getting loose. I think the bigger tail blades make a big difference.

I usually run 2600 headspeed but I have flown it at under 2200 a few times with no tail issues at all. I am just running flat curves, 80% in idle 1 & 100% in idle 2.

Could it be you have more - than + pitch?

The 620 is a marginal tail servo, but it will hold for fast climbouts, check your pitch range.

Thanks
Thanks so much guys! I will run some tests and check and see what I find out about the pitch range! It should be the same as when I set it up though. I was thinking that I'm probably gonna need a new servo!
