Hey Everyone,

We were talking on another thread about header tanks, etc. and how to keep things simple. Love to hear/see ideas you guys have.

I saw this on a pic here on RR and wondered "why didn't I think of that" ... like 5 years ago! 2S 800 mah pack..works all day long and then some. Made out of 1/8" (I believe) aluminum or maybe a little thinner. Dubro fuel cap thingy on top. Awesome!!

Here is my starter: 4 cell 10C 4000 pack I got 3 years ago and I swear I charge it once per flying season. Mount made out of aluminum again with two bends.

Finally, After many many field boxes I got a PDY systems and its very nice. I added spacers on the top for my radio.

I also use a push glow on the helis for glow heat (awesome).

Finally, No header tanks and no fuel filters etc., (I use 2 in the jug). I use a fuel magnet and it works wonderfully. Replace ever flying season and make sure to keep fuel in your tank ASAP after a flight. For fueling I just remove the tubing from the engine, fuel and put back on.

What are some of your ideas to keep things simple.

I've been using this for about 8 years. It uses ten AA batteries in the base (I'm using Sanyo Eneloop batteries). I only charge it a few times a year. Unfortunately, the battery base units were discontinued 6-7 years ago.

Be glad you did.The zip-tie works OK but you'll never get the swash level like a swash tool does..
