Some of you guys have suggested(convincingly)that they help with consistency.

Lon also pointed out that my heli didn't start sounding lean until very late in the run when the tank was getting close to empty.

Completely out of fuel and tired of paying $44 a gallon unless I drive 4 hours to pay $34 a gallon.

I'm switching back to Torco 30% for $124 a case shipped to my door.

It will be here Wednesday so I'm grounded a few days.lol...

Re-tune....install header tank....post a new video for you guys to critique.

I'll look for a better camera too.

I ran a fuel magnet inside my Trex 700 header tank.

Is that too much overkill?

Having a header tank AND a fuel magnet?

--Overkill and simply not needed.

Having a header tank with a fuel magnet inside the header tank?

--overkill and a waste of parts and resources.

The thing is....I have a fuel magnet that I will throw away if I don't use it that way.lol....Even an extra sponge thingy

Probably just use the clunk that comes with the tank.

I have a bubble-less clunk in the main tank....It should stay there right?
The clunk in the header tank should never see any air.

Ditch the header and just run the fuel magnet... Nothing beats it.

It's a POS that will burn up your engine if you don't store the heli with fuel in it 100% of the time.

I know!

If that tank of fuel is all I have...I'm gonna fly it out.

They do work well in flight but they fail FAST if you don't keep them in fuel.

Just keep fuel in the tank... Ready next time you go out. Easy. It's the best thing and beats any header tank mess. Would never go back to that. Fuel magnet is to easy and you really can fly every drop. Working great in my 700 and 600 but yes you do need to fuel up as soon as you are done.

I use 3M outdoor two sided tape.
No mounting hardware and no turning on a screw.

Stick it on and fly.

The screw makes the tank ride too high anyway.

Lower is better so the fuel line is straight to the carb as possible.

IMO the header tank and the bubbleless clunk in the main tank is the beez kneez!

Consistent till the main tank is near empty,oh...and we love the 3M tape too.

I agree. Any installation I perceive a change in tuning from full to empty gets a header tank. On some I have used the stock clunk, others I have used the OS bubbleless. The best is probably to use a bubbless clunk in the main tank and a feed the carb from a header. I try to land before I hit the header.

I also land before the header because the header holds about 45 seconds of fuel.lol....Maybe a little less.

Exactly. Plus the tuning changes at that point.

Good move! If you don't like the Torco 30%, you'll have something for the washing machine.

lmao.....I flew Torco all year a couple years ago.
It runs good and the engine held up good.

The only thing I noticed is that it stains the inside of the engine a little more than Cool Power or Byrons.

No big deal though.

I run a header on both my nitros, AND a bubleless clunk in both the main AND the header, AND carbsmart... and recently just got the cline reg for my 91.

i don't mind headers, got used to them really, my helis would look odd to my eyes if without.

Here is on my T600 Big Block, secured with mount / double side tape / and hook and loop all around with main tank

this one ain't gonna move no matter what I throw at my heli!g

And here is on my Srimok, same setup but without hook and loop as I couldn't manage to get it straight around the tilted main tank.

There is no such thing as "overkill" when you got over 2 grand in the air, just "extra precaution".
