This proves once again that social media like facebook to certain extent is nothing good. I feel bad for her.. this could have been prevented.

^^^^BS, I was bullied well over 20 years ago. Did not off myself, but many times wished I'd never been borne. It was so bad, I'd run away to keep from having to go to school. I was made fun off every single day, I hated school so bad, I'd rather take a beating any day than go in that damn school. I know why kids kill others, and shoot up schools. But in the end I took my anger out on the bully's well one of them, ended up knock half his teeth out.
And the last year I spent 6 months in foster care, because I refused to go back. The last day the teachers asked me if I'd be back next year, because I was 15, and would turn 16 in a couple months, I said if hell freezes over I might. Most parents have no ideas the pressure that are on kids at school. Kids are so ashamed, they keep it all bundled up in side till they burst, then people die a lot of times.

In the end I went back to college and finished my schooling. GED +++ some.

I agree with RCHSF, bullying has been around for a long time I finished high school back in 1981 and recall alot of kids there who were victims of bullying, its more prevelant now because of social media but imagine back then when we did not have this, how kids felt with no one to turn to. I pains me to read a child has taken their life over this issue.

Guys I think rcjon was being sarcastic.

Social media does allow an enhanced form of bullying do to the fact pictures, video, etc can be shared with a large group of people. Then this info can be accessed instantly via a smart phone, literally while sitting in class.

It would certainly make bullying more effective and denegrating.

yes, as a father it's sad, read on,,
7 years ago or so there was a post on Facebook whereby the kids from the local school here were making jokes about 9/11
my daughter signed on and told the kids that it wasn't funny because people died in 9/11 and many people were affected by it all,, the kid that started that post started another post, the subject of his new post was "kill Sara", that post went on for 4 pages and many kids wanted to know when and where this was going to happen so they could help

after calling the police and having the post shut down I went and talking to 7 different Lawyers and 1 by 1 I was shot down, each Lawyer said he wont take the case because of "free speech"

suing Facebook (for me) was not about money, it was about waking them up

In a case like that you do like in brady bunch, confront the parents. And beat their asses in front of the kids if necessary.

Maybe these kids would learn how to not send explicit pictures of themselves on a phone they wouldn't have to face the shame. In today's world weak minds struggle to survive.

If you're not living on the edge you're just taking up space !

What do you expect ??? It's Popular
Dig a Hole

Toss Debra in a Box

Have Mom and Dad pick up the Box toss it into hole after 17 year's.

Then Friend's and Family will be marching around the hole in Sack Cloth and Ashes and tearing at their Raiments: SInging - WHY ? Why? Why ? FOR YEARS of their Life looking at dirt.

ALL are Follwed by dark black cloud ALL their LIFe - Because they ALL now have a WHO DONE it !! I knew a lot of them - and even some ashes that are still sitting in a file cabinet

It all could of been prevented to ALL PArties - if they have not whore'd their FAITH. Stopped teaching it or practicing it or forgot ---. Yet LIST's of excuses - False reasoning & Lie's for coverage. Cannot be covered. The WHO DONE IT

They still march around the hole singing why -why -why. Looking for the reason - YET THEY DAM WELL KNOW

One of the thing's that happens when the only social cultural interaction or communication is based on a device they carry for answer's or stare into for guidance of life and wisdom. Communicating to MORE of the scattered or fragmented.

Sleep with it eat / with it / crap with it /and the most important thing in life. What are the answer's or cruelty or peace or truth or wisdom it provides ??? NO HUMAN FACE -

Then go out and purchase a car based upon a bunch of dancing gerbil's with a tune and neon light's. OR one with a large fart pipe or glow in the dark diaper's - or strawberry scented underwear List is ENDLESS.

Why????are the mind's scattered /fragmented/ or split -LOST

It will gain evermore popularity until the cycle is broken

I too graduated in 1981, then did 21 years in the Marines (infantry/NBC/Drill Instructor for both enlisted and commissioned). I was also bullied in Junior High.

I work with a 27 year old, that is leaving our company very soon. I told him one day that my father taught me that if I got in a fight and lost, there was not shame...just stand my ground. But God help me if I ever came home and he finds out I walked away. My young co-worker found that quite 'strange and neanderthal' in thinking. I told him he better shut his mouth as he was talking about father. He shut up and pouted like a little girl for a couple of days. That was two years ago and now he is leaving for a better job. He thanked me the other day for telling him that...really kind of caught me off guard.

I was bullied for about a period of 1.5 years from this redneck and his friends (they would conveniently surround me when no one was around). My point is that although I was bullied, I stood my ground and it eventually solved itself. How? I finally kicked the crap out of the guy that was bullying me, and to my amazement, none of his 'friends' helped him. No, I did not want to do it, as I let him screw with me for a while before I finally had the opportunity to correct the problem.

We didn't have social media, but I think a lot of parents these days are working too much and not paying closer attention to what is going on with their children (yes, I know, the economy, but not all are in shambles because of it). This is a general statement, not a lumping everyone into it, as I know there are exceptions.

It is just a shame that our children are not thicker skinned. I really never cared what anyone said to me, but when they touched me, that was and is a different story. Old fashioned? Maybe, but my 5 month old and 4.5 year old girls will be taught the same way!

^Damn RIGHT!!!

Nothing wrong with a good ole fashioned ass whooping. Take one or give one, either way you're better for it.

Kids today are a bunch of pussies in skinny jeans. I can't tell the difference between boys and girls anymore.....SOB's both shop in the same section at Marshalls (Petite Girls)

Don't get me wrong, getting out of a situation with your brain is first and foremost. It's all about bluffing and tactics. I have always said that when it comes to blows....both have already lost. HOWEVER, when its time to defend yourself or your family....you do what you have to do. I don't believe in excessive force. I'm a very nice, polite and reasonable man....but....you cross that line, then whatever happens, happens. No Billy Bob Bad ass here, MOF had my ass kicked a hell of a lot more then not, but they only made me stronger.

When I was a Drill Instructor at Paris Island, I was shocked at how many of the recruits had NO IDEA HOW TO DEFEND THEMSELVES or even how to throw a punch! Out of an average platoon of 70 or so recruits, when asked how many had actually been in a fight or threw a fist in anger, only a couple or so would raise there hands.

Except for this one winter platoon when most of my recruits were made up of New Yorkers....holy hell! We called them Winter Pigs for a reason..... Yeah, yeah, don't want to hear it New Yorkers....most them turned out to be fine Marines....they just needed to get the chip off of their shoulders and learn to shut their mouths!

Semper Fi! and God Bless Texas! Texas bound 1 March, hell or high water! Good Freak'n bye East Coast!

I think
A lot of kids today are raised by single mothers and the boys have no father figure to tell them how to behave.

Kids needs hobbies these days I guess. Social media stuff is not a hobby imo, its just asking for drama. For me, the less people I have to deal with day to day the better I feel.

+1.

I prefer dealing with dead things like helicopters than people.

This is very true, happiest days are when I get to stay at home and only see my family.

Either way that kiddie diddler that was tormenting that girl is getting his name plastered all over the internet. The Vancouver police are worried about vigilante justice. I personally havent followed the story much but any diddler that gets his ass beat or shot is one less I need to worry about with my kids.
