Yep, Feds are now going to be the ones in control of getting seawall permits in this area, as they have designated our area a "preservation refuge" for the SMALLTOOTH SAWFISH. We're just starting to boom again (I'm swamped with work) and now this.
Up until tomorrow, you could get a seawall permit from the city within 48 hours. Now, you have to apply to the Corps for a permit and the expected time for a permit is 3-18 months, most likely 18 months minimum. Will completely shut down what's happening in this area after 5 years of decimation.
All the Germans and Canadians flooding this area with new construction lately....will move on.
We've been operating under this temporary set-up for over 5 years waiting for the Feds to do a study and they haven't even started it yet.
