Ok the manual for the AR7200BX states to use a Satellite for any helicopter larger then a 500.

1. If you are using a AR200BX are you also running a Satellite

2. If you are, where did you mount it?

Thanks

Most of the satellites come with a long ass extension with them. Just mount in rear of Heli. Or you can buy a 6" extension and mount it somewhere's close to receiver... Just keep it at least 6" away from receiver..

I would definately run an external Sat.

When mounting it make sure the laft side (active element) is out in open air and not shielded by carbon fiber.

Left side of the ext sat or left side of the AR7200bx?

Also have you looked at the whiplash and where the gyro sits. The carbon frames are on both sides. I do have the antennas sticking up and out in front of the frames and the ext sat on the other side down by the fuel tank.
