I'm real new to this heli hobby & dont know some of the lingo so setting my Spectrum clone radio to the Phoenix sim is getting frustrating.
I know some of you have the knowledge & have already given me your advise...but I guess I'm a bit slow....I would be thankful for the help!!!

The model of your tx, or the name of it might help. Or a photo at least. We need more details.

Hi Ryan,

Finally found you. I know you are still trying to get information for your Phoenix sim. Have you replaced your LiPo pack yet? If so, we should get together and get you some stick time.

The sim will be a great help.

When it ask you during setup which radio you have....go through them all until you find one that's compatible. I've never heard of your radio but I do have the latest phoenix sim program and one of the setups will no doubt work.

Copterx CX-CTC6C 2.4ghz....clone of a Spectrum
Did some checking, including downloading the manual (Copterx CX-CT6C, by the way).

It is not a Spektrum Clone. Does not do DSM, DSM2, or DSMx transmission. Instead, does some form of FHSS and that may or may not be Futaba compatible.

It has two modes of operation. Helicopter and Airplane.

In Helicopter mode, it ONLY does CCPM mix. It does NOT do heli mode with one servo per axis, NON-CCPM control.

As such, it cannot work in helicopter mode with the Phoenix Sim. The Phoenix sim will NOT work if you have a heli radio programmed to operate with CCPM mixing enable. Period.

If you really want to give this radio a shot, you will have to select Airplane mode. And then you may have to mess around with Phoenix a bit to get your airplane radio to work as if it were controlling a heli, that is, if you can get the transmitter to work at all with Phoenix.

I am told by an experienced rc heli pilot, that it is compatible with the Phoenix sim...
He may not be that experienced...or he is just not aware of this radio's limitations.

Not familiar with the radio would be the case. Regardless, Ryan has make the move to a full Spektrum system. I finished the heli setup for him, and the last I heard he was flying the heck out of his sim.
